Here is a 77 MG that was parked in a garage its whole life (except for about 3 months before I got it). It was last on the road in 1984. It is all original as far as I can tell. Someone put a vinyl stripe on the side that is not so great looking in my opinion and I'm pretty sure it isn't a factory addition. What is either a factory addition or maybe a dealer addition is the AC! This car has AC and you can tell by looking at the system that its always been on the car. The original spare is in the trunk as is the jack and the accessory bag. The chrome is in very good condition and all the lights look like new. The top is also in excellent condition and the plastic back window is still clear. This car is complete! What it needs: The car will need all new tires as these have dry rotted and will not hold air. Also, there is one spot on the car right behind the drivers door where the roof of the garage it was in leaked (or so I was told) and the paint peeled off down to the metal. This would be an easy fix and is the only place I could find that needed paint. There are a few dings in the car from stuff in the garage bumping into the car over the years but I think all could be taken care of by a paintless dent repair person. The fuel lines are rotten also and the gas tank would need flushed and possibly replaced. Carbs probably need rebuilt for good measure as well and the brakes need rebuilt. This has got to be one of the lowest original miles MG's out there. The trunk items and AC are just a bonus! Call me with any questions or if you want additional pictures. 580-763-2788. In the new pics you'll see two small imperfections in the seat. Also there are better pics of the inside of the trunk and the floor boards from top and bottom. There is no rust on the floorboards. The factory paint and undercoating is still intact. Also there're other pics of the areas under the car that do have rust such as the leaf springs, the differential and the front suspension parts. These parts are of course heavy steel and often unpainted from the factory. Just surface rust on these parts. There are two pics of the lower rear quarters behind the wheels that show just a bit of road rash from road debris from the tires. There are no rust holes! I included a pic of the bare metal area I mentioned in the original listing. All "rust" on the car could be hand sanded in 10 minutes or less and the areas reprised and repainted. That's all it would need. No metal repair necessary! The dash and door panels etc have no cracks at all. Carpet is worn however. Floor and frame rails are rock solid. Last but not least, I included a pic of how clear the original plastic back glass is. That is my hand on the inside in case you couldn't tell! Happy bidding all! Call or email win questions.
