Vehicle Detail

You are viewing/bidding on a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible. This good ole' American muscle car is a great base to begin your fall restoration "project" (meaning this is not a parts car but also, you cannot fly in and drive it home !!!). Nordic blue with white interior. The car has what appears to be the original 350-V8 motor. Has A/C, power top with glass rear window and color coded rally wheels. This car is complete, but needs the typical work these cars require, primarily a new top and floors (prior owner began cutting them out). Starting from the front of the car, the plastic nose cone and headlight trim is new, but needs to be installed. The front and rear bumpers need to be replaced or rechromed (they are straight, but have pits). The fenders are workable (patches or replacment). The doors have some rot on the bottom, needs one rear quarter, maybe both (depending on what you want out of the car). The trunk pan and frame are fine. Trunk lip has rust. The top needs to be replaced and there is rot on the convertible top bow (where the top meets the top of the windshield. All the glass is good. Dashpad is in very good shape. Needs various other things (glove box, rear trunk lock, etc. Front bench seats needs to be recovered (but foam is in good shape), rear seat is in very good shape. The motor cranks, but wont turn over due to an incorrectly installed distributor. Has new 4 bbl carb, fuel pump, fuel filter, ignition coil and brake lines. Needs rear brakes. Exhaust and tranny are in good shape. Have a clear title. I have this car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. Also, if you are bidding, you are serious about buying. If you want to see this car prior to the end of the auction, I can only show the car on Saturday, November 6th. I have sold this car four times already, but they all end up being tire kickers. These cars are becoming harder to come by and are expensive to buy all restored. Buy this one, take your time and restore it the way you want it. Please ask any questions BEFORE you bid. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability. You should also check my feedback. Good luck and happy bidding !!!On Nov-05-10 at 12:02:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received a bunch of emails about the reserve price (which I will not disclose). However, I am willing to take offers on the car and will end the auction early for a good offer. Also, I would consider interesting vehicle trades. If you have access to a 66-67 Buick Riviera, that would be good to know.
