Vehicle Detail
Item up for bid is a 1993 Ford E-series conversion van, converted by Mark III. I have only owned this vehicle for a short time and it was sitting for a while before I bought it. I will try to list everything that I know about it. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS A USED VEHICLE AND IS BEING SOLD AS IS. The van has approx. 112,400 miles and seems to run well, and rides nice. It has 4 captains chairs and an electric bench seat that folds down into a bed. It is also equipped with a tv, vcr, nintendo, mood lighting, valance lights, reading lights, blinds on the windows, storage compartments, front and rear heat/ac, power locks, windows, mirrors, cruise, tilt and an automatic transmission. The engine is a 5.8 litre V-8 and has plenty of power. The tires are not a matching set but appear to still have some tread. Just passed NJ state inspection. Very roomy, and comfy, seats 7. Has class 3 trailer hitch receiver. The following are the issues that I am aware of regarding condition: At times it cranks longer than normal before starting. A local repair shop said that the check valve in the fuel pump may be sticking causing the delayed start. If you cycle the key once or twice to prime the pump before starting, it starts quickly. The van still runs fine like this. I have seen new fuel pumps online for less than $200 The electric fold down bed needs help coming back up, the motor seems too small or weak, but still able to get it up and down with help. The paint on the running boards is peeling and could use repainting if the buyer is concerned about it. The transmission shifts a little funny but doesn't seem to effect the way it drives. (The previous owner said he had it rebuilt at around 70,000 and had heavy duty parts installed for towing. I have no proof of this so can't say it is for sure.) A couple of the blinds could use cleaning or replacing. The driver and passenger front seat cushions are worn from people sliding in and out causing them to be sloped, however the seats aren't torn up. The exhaust will need work, possibly muffler and tailpipe. There are a few dents/dings in the pass side rear door area. (see pics) The van could use a good detailing both inside and out to really make it look good. The chrome on the bumpers is peeling in spots. Someone replaced drivers mirror glass with some kind of plastic mirror product. Should be replaced with real mirror glass to be safe.(Got a price today from local glass co. of $28) Needs new power mirror switch in order for power mirrors to work. I have listed all the information that I can think of. Please ask any questions you might have before bidding. Again, this is a used vehicle and needs TLC. The reserve price is MUCH less than the book value of the van. This is a running and driving conversion van that still looks pretty decent and has low miles for the year. I do reserve the right to end the auction early. Thank you for looking. On Oct-30-10 at 14:59:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: Just took the van on a 100 mile trip today and it made it with no problems. The front tires seem to make a little noise and the trans still shifts funny, but drove fine otherwise. I even tested out the nintendo and it worked. There are several games that come with it.
