2001 VW Jetta TDI 1.9 Liter, 5 Speed, 175K Miles - 5 speed - Manual windows - Cold AC - Radio Cassette - Alloy wheels - It has 2 keyless entry remote keys I purchased this car in August 2006, it had 86K miles, now it has 175K miles. I kept it maintained since I purchased it. All the maintenance has been done at VW of Wellesley, here are some of the maintenance records: - Timing belt replaced along with water pump and few other items $1200 in the 90sK miles - The last set of new tires less than 7K miles ago. - Replaced the 4 Struts with 4 new Belstein top of the line struts Made in Germany October 2009 - Front brakes including drums and ceramic pads. - New fuel filter 7K miles ago. - Oil pan was replaced at VW of Wellesley in April 2010 due to oil plug has been over tightened and had to replace the oil pan along with some sensors. - Battery replaced with new VW battery 2008. - OEM glow plugs replaced in 11/2009 - New battary from VW dealer 12/2007 - Last year I had the check engine light is on, I took to VW of Wellesley fixed the cause, then it came back on, I got another appointment to re address the issue, on my way to the dealership the light was gone, they checked it and said there is nothing wrong with it, few more weeks and same thing happened again, the day before my appointment the light was gone. Now the check engin light is on and off, but on most of the time, and I never bothered taking it back. To answer some of your questions, the car doesn't lose any coolant or any oil. I love this car, I filled it with diesel, went from MA to NJ to visit family for few days, come back, drive it for couple more days, then I re fuel. It gets 47 or 46.5 miles per gallon in the summer and 44.++ miles in the very cold winter months. I have never had problem starting it in the coldest weather, only the one time where I had to replace the original battery in 2008.
