1996 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER I will begin with what sets this apart from the other LC's for sale. This SUV was designed to be an absolutely comfortable cruiser for the oversize family...Taking a cross country trip and split the driving(w/ the wife)fearless of any inclimate weather and be in complete comfort while doing it!! On weekends grab your friends and tell (the wife)your going to wash the truck, "of course thats after you get it dirty" take it anywhere, toss it in 4 low and nothing will stop you but your own fears, and if you go overboard the 10,000LB Warn winch will lend a hand (or button on the remote)... While washing off the mud, your friends will be convinced you are the Man, how you pulled off finding the perfect way to relieve stress "besides an oriental massage parlor" And you actually satisfied her "the wife" at the same time(a 1st for everything), Your friends will be convinced after 1-5 kids and however many years together (w/ this one)you still have "a pair" and there still in your posession, (you had to think that through)!!! LOL Alright, onto the good and bad, I bought and finished this due to a love of Landcruisers (have owned 4) and sold my "plain one" 6 weeks ago with the hopes of keeping this one, however after being given the option that either the truck or boat has to go, (you now know who has "my pair" )the truck was actually a no brainer, "I literally live on the water" selling the boat isn't an option!!! The body(LC) is very close to 100% perfect "especially considering its 15 yrs old "aside from a well described in pics dent" (left rear) and its very minor .. The finish is self explanitory, besides the little wear points(flares) and tiny chips on hood edge its beautiful, you can see the shine/reflections and you know these are not known for there finish after the 1st 12 yrs, they (others) are in desperate need for hood/roof refinishing, not this one!!! The interior was redone a while back (almost 2yrs ago) with high pile carpet, a new gray tweed headliner/visors/sunroof panel and the front and mid seats rewrapped in leather due to the common problem, the American male Ass is to low for Toyota's, maybe our legs are just too short! You thought (the wife's) was heading south!! Wearing out seat edges while getting "in/out" (of the LC! Hmmm!! )The dash was fitted with a carbon fiber trim kit and the glass is tinted to keep it all from fading and burning layers of skin off here in Florida.. Only issue is a 1" cut in upper rt/frt door panel(very common) Oh by the way this being Fl. you do know this is no Northern rusty underchassis,(its been in Fl since new) its clean and the pictures show it in detail... The accessories that were added to the LC include an ARB front brush guard w/ Warn 10K remote winch as well as the Xtreme offroad lamps ($2500+ package) the headlights are HID one piece(includes corner lamps) and they are about 5X brighter than stock lamps ($300) The Xtreme offroad lights have a 2nd use(as a road rage accessorie), in the event a slow driver(they seem to stop everywhere but at red lights/stop signs) happens to be in front of you while in FL."AARP Dinosours" or if you get cut off in WA. by a "Edward Cullen wannabee"doing 150 mph, or even during a trip to NJ, you never know when fat guy with a cigar and pinky ring may have an anxiety attack and cut you off, (road rage accessorie)those lights do come in handy!!! This LC Does Not have factory lockers (switch / Magic button) We have added the Snorkel intake ($400) and a pair of clear/white tail lights as well ARB roof rack ($1000)so you can free up space and put all your vacation traveling items up & out of the way to make the trip more comfortable (please exclude roof tying the wife/kids, to avoid getting a ticket, unless of course, you add seat belts to your roof rack)Then I would advise it!! What she (the wife) does't understand why we "men" want loud stereo's and oral sex( they both achieve the same results, a few minutes of pleasure and not hearing "the wife's" voice) As for the kids, "Are-we-there-yet" does get old quick!! ARB rear bumper w/Jerry-fuel can and spare mount(both sides open independent of each other) left side is fuel/water and right side is a factory spare and 4' ratchet jack and all included...($2400) but they were removed during the pictures to show the actual rear lift gate condition The new chromed aluminum wheels are made by ION 16"x10" and have a brand new set of NITTO MUD GRAPPLERS 35"x14.5"x16" tires ($1800 wheels/tires) which are tucked in nicely due to the OME heavy duty 2.5" kit suspension upgrade ($600) The roof rack has a reverse camera installed, however the display is part of the stereo which I cannot include due to personal reasons, it can be replaced with any reciever/display you choose, all Infinity mids/highs are included in the sale as well as the jack/spare/Jerry-fuel can discussed but not in photo's As you can tell by the engine compartment pictures that it has been exceptionally maintained and all maintenence is up to par.. There are dual batteries for the winch/lights, oil changed every 3-4K miles, no oil leaks and absolutely nothing specific to make one aware of mechanically before buying (it would be done before listing as my feedback rating is extremely important to me) I may pull a few pranks and joke about your "wife wearing the pants" or you "strapping the kids to roof rack" but I am as honest as they come, you can review/contact all my customers and not one will have a negative thing to say about my character, my most recent LC sold was a 1994 and any/all issues were included in the ad(it wasn't like this beast), buyer and I communicate regularly, the 2005 Honda Rincon buyer couldn't be happier as well as the two boats I've sold through here.. just ask I'll give any/all details... I have a fortune invested in this baby and am reluctant to part with it, but the time has come so take your time review the photo's feel free to email/call and even come down to see/hear it, but do not jump into anything without knowing what your getting, if there is another one out there that grabs your heart, confirm its condition, not all damage is in Carfax, if it wasn't reported(no police/insurance) it won't be in the system, I hate the Ebay horror stories so I do my best to give all details/pics so you know what your getting, and a rusty/previously wrecked truck that bypassed the Carfax system would be an issue that I would disclose!
