1965 Ford Mustang Convertible 289 4Speed I bought this car while back because 65 4 speed cars are hard to find. This car I think was a 2 owner car originally sold in IOWA & that is where I got it from as well. The car has been with the last owner since 1980 & he used until I bought it back in August. This prior owner had the engine rebuilt on 5/1/97 & it runs great I have the receipt. The transmission shift very nice. The interior is in good driver condition it has a few seems that have let go but over all it is pretty nice & it may even be the original Interior but I never ran codes & the rug is faded. The paint on the car is not bad it really looks really nice from 5 ft but under close inspection there is some bubbling on the rear wheel wells the paint really is not bad other then a few nicks & scratches & bubbles I would guess it is 15 years old paint. Like I was saying I know the 4 speed 65 Converts are pretty hard to find and that is why I bought the car. But since I have a few others I have not been able to work on this little mustang & the floors have been patched up over the years & need to be replaced but since the car drives so well that is why they did not get done with the 2ND owner or by me yet. Car is a good daily driver today that would need a full restoration to be perfect & if you know anything about mustangs the rusty floors are a very common problem issue.
