Vehicle Detail
1941 Plymouth Special Deluxe – Just before the war. Very original, 100% complete, solid vehicle. Stored many, many years. All stainless trim in near new condition. Body, door seams, truck seams, all the usual places shows no signs of rust. No signs of any body work of significance. Sides had been repainted at some point in its life, rest of paint seems original. Tire rims and spare rim still original paint. Interior seems original and although discolored and frayed from many years of storage, it is 100% complete. This is one of many old cars in my collection and just don’t have enough time to use them all (which is not good for a old car). Car mileage states 27k miles and have reason to believe this could be the original miles due to running condition, originality, and oil change decals on the car from the 60's and early 70’s showing mileage at 21k miles. (Note: The car is being sold as 'mileage unknown' as that is the accurate situation). Engine runs perfect. Suspension and drivability is smooth and quiet. New brakes and exhaust. You could drive this car cross country tomorrow with confidence if you wanted to. Please... old car buffs only. I am too busy to deal with people that do not understand the old car hobby (and are looking for new car perfection). This a solid, complete, ready to drive, very original, very presentable, old gent. The selling price is way more than reasonable for a solid car, that is very presentable as is, can drive it away, and needs nothing mechanically. I just want to see it go to a good home. If you are an 'old car' person you know what I mean and how easy you can spend a small fortune just to obtain a solid car, let alone get it into this condition. The car is an easy restore if you want to (simply a repaint – no paint stripping needed, and interior work), or, if you are into preservation vs. restoration, this car is also for you. I have left it as I got it as I remain undecided between keeping it original vs. ‘improving it’ (once you start ‘upgrading it’… those original pieces are gone forever). The new owner can decide which approach to take with this care. For transportation, the car is completely and reliably drivable so you can drive it home. I can also assist loading it into whatever car transportation service you hire.
