JUST LOWERED PRICE AND OVER 25 WATCHERS SO FAR...BID AND TAKE HER HOME! 67 Pontiac Tempest 4 Door - Original and Complete! Runs and Drives well, dependable, not parted out or cut up! Note: Can arrange delivery for a fee depending on distance. Contact me with your location BEFORE auction ends and i'll give you a price if i can do it. Winning auction price does not include shipping, pickup as is where is, Howland, OH 44484 I have decided to sell this 1967 67 Pontiac Tempest that i purchased a few months ago. I have two cars to complete this winter and i just won't get to this one. I was going to make it a V8 car but it runs and drives so well and everything is there and complete, i hate to cut into it. I would like to make it mint again, but i have to be realistic about the work i want to get done on my other projects. My loss is your gain. I have a clear title in hand, miles say 78,000 but i'm guessing thats 178,000. I can't be sure so i don't want to leave the impression that it's a low miles car. First, please read: I do NOT need to sell this car to work on my other projects, i have room enough to store it forever and i'm not tight on cash. I know it's a 4 door, it's had body work, the paint is dull and there's some rust here and there on it. Every thing you can pick apart on this car i already know, that's why it's starting at this price and not double where most 2 door 65-67 tempests would be. I've already taken everything into account negative and positive about this car and figure i'm starting the auction at a fair price for everyone involved, no reserve. LOW nada is $3700 and high is $7700. No trades please. If it doesn't sell, over time in the winter i'll put the carpet in and work on the seats and the price will start to go up. Easier for you to get it now and save us both time and money. I won't take less than my starting price so if no one bids, no sale. No reserve so any bid can win it! This car has a Pontiac straight 6 OHC (non sprint, non-chevy motor) 1bbl 2 speed automatic (not powerglide, it's a buick ST300 (non switch pitch). The engine starts and fires right up. Sometimes if it's been sitting a few weeks i have to pump the gas to get it started and let it warm up for about 15 seconds before i head off down the road. If it's been driven it's just start and go like a new car. Engine has good voltage, temp, oil pressure, etc. Slight ticking from engine compartment but i haven't chased it down yet. Transmission shifs perfectly with no lags, noises, or groans. Both forward and reverse is like a new car. I've driven it down the interstate and around town and it just rides SO well and i thought the 6cyl with a 2 speed would be terrible get up and go but it handles and drives like a light effortless car. Interior is great except for two - one inch long tears on the rear seat in the top center, and carpet is terrible, and front seat needs recovered. Carpet is $100 new, and could be changed by a couple guys in about an hour and a half. Haven't priced recovering front seat, and it has a new package tray installed. The rest is in pretty damn good condition (dash, headliner, rear seat, door panels, etc), especially for it's age. Gauges work. Radio did work but quit on me. (Lights up when lights are on but i don't hear anything out of the speakers, its repairable if you want to keep it original) A new great mp3 etc classic looking radio is $149, or you could have this one fixed or find a replacement. All lights and horn, etc. work that i could see. Car has had a repaint and it's kind of dull. I waxed a spot on it and it came back very decently, but if i was going to keep it long term for car shows i'd plan on getting a decent paint job on it with some clear so i didn't have to wax it all the time. If it's for your kid's first car or you want to just drive it around, it's great. You can definitely tell there's been body work on it and that some of it would need touched up and worked out to be a show car, but again, i priced this as a driver's car. Frame and everything underneath looks solids, i haven't seen anything under there that worries me at all. Just did a fresh oil and filter change with zinc added for cam life. Any questions, let me know. You can email me here with questions or to get my cell so you can ask and come see it if you wish. It's located in Howland OH 44484 for viewing or driving, no tire kickers or joyriders please. Car doesn't leave and title get transfered or funds worked with until any check has been guaranteed good. Full payment and pickup due within 5 days of end of auction.
