Vehicle Detail
This item is being relisted as a result of a fraudelant buyer selecting the Buy-It-Now. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused! Up for auction is a very original 1984 Mustang GT convertible. This car is a California Native and spent most all of its life in the San Jose area. Most of the car’s 137,000 miles were commuting from the San Jose area to San Francisco. The car is unbelievably original with the ONLY modifications being the Pony wheels, an AM/FM cassette and a car alarm. No mechanical modifications at all ever! The Mustang runs and drives very nicely. No oil leaks, drips or annoying rattles! Everything works EXCEPT for the Marchal driving lights (another bonus that both lights and covers are there!) – I have not looked into it but suspect a fuse or bulbs. The A/C blows cool but not cold and will need a charge. Power windows, cruise, Power door locks and power top all work perfectly. Being an original California car there is NO RUST! The paint is 100% original and in good shape. To be perfect the rear deck lid and the hood should be repainted (The flat black stripe on the hood is thin to the primer on the passenger’s side of the raised area of the hood (very thin strip) and the deck lid has several small areas were the paint is thin or flaked of). As mentioned, to be perfect these areas should be repainted BUT the car presents itself well in its current condition and is truly a survivor! All factory decals and emblems are in place and in nice shape. There is one very slight “rub” by the gas door on the passenger’s side – When I say slight I mean SLIGHT. The red interior is very nice and near perfect! There are two seams beginning to pull on the bottom driver’s seat (about a ½”each) – almost unnoticeable but they are there! The speaker grill on the driver’s side of the dash has a ½” split that is again almost unnoticeable but does exist. The rest of the dash is perfect. Passenger’s seat, back seat, carpet, door panels and carpet are perfect. As you can see from the pictures small speakers were installed in the front door panels. The installation was done tastefully and professionally and looks very nice. The car has had 4 registered owners. The first three were from the same family and then me. I have owned several Fox Body Mustangs over the years and can honestly say this is the most solid/original one yet! Original paint, exhaust, interior and on and on – This Mustang is truly a survivor! Don’t miss your opportunity to own this unmolested piece of Ford history. Nice, clean original Fox Bodies are getting tough to find! Feel free to contact Dean at 661-703-8402 with any questions!
