The same gentleman has owned the car for the last 24 years. Over those years the car was fully restored. All of the work was done by Charles Pasporil of Stamford ct. Charlie is a well-known British car guru in the North East. The original motor was rebuilt in the mid 90s’; stainless valve seats were installed, as well as a modern electronic ignition. The engine starts and runs well, is smooth, and has good power. The engine compartment is clean but could benefit from a detailing. The body retains its original panels, has little filler, and was repainted 6 years ago. The paint shows good depth and luster there is no orange peel and few blemishes. The interior was replaced, including new seat covers, carpets and wooden dash. The Speedo was replaced at the beginning of the whole process, and shows only 22,731 miles. She has new front and rear chrome bumpers with new over-riders. At this time, a new fuel tank and radiator were installed. The car runs cool, and all systems, including heat work, as they should. The front suspension was replaced using a disc brake setup from a 1970 MGB. This sensible upgrade increases the braking ability of the car dramatically!!! She now stops with authority, which could never be said of the original setup!!! All of the hydraulic cylinders, brake drums, rotors, calipers, brake lines and hardware were replaced at this time. A new convertible top was installed, as well as all new weather stripping. The trunk was also carpeted, and she has a wire spare. The convertible top is excellent and the car has a tonneau cover. She rides on new chrome wire knock-offs, and new Nexxon radial tires. Now for the bad, the paint has some blemishes on the leading edge of the drivers side door. Aside from this, the car needs nothing accept a proud new owner!!! This car is mechanically and cosmetically excellent, and drives beautifully.
