Vehicle Detail
Here for sale is my well taken care of 2006 Z4 M roadster that you can purchase from a long time BMW enthusiast! I first started with a Z3 over 10 years ago, and have had several throughout the years. This is the best one yet! I have sold all of my prior BMWs on eBay to happy customers and had no complaints (check my feedback), so you can be confident that you will receive this car as listed. You can search for my BMW posts on Google, just type in michaelw9 and BMW. I will be switching to a new M3 by the end of October, so it's now time to part with this one! I still drive it every day, and so the miles will be slightly higher until sold. I am the first and only original owner and first purchased this car in Sept 2006 in Hawaii, and shipped the vehicle to California when I moved here in January 2010. It is CA registered and passed the smog-check. About the car: If you are checking out this auction you already know incredible this thing is to drive, so I won't have to try to sell it to you, but it is a blast! Read http://www.insideline.com/bmw/m/2006/full-test-2006-bmw-m-roadster.html * Black Sapphire Metallic * Black Leather * Black Electric Power Convertible Top Most M roadsters came well equipped standard, so not many options were available, but this car has the following: Options: * Premium Package, includes memory seats, power seats, power convertible top, electro-chromatic automatically dimming interior AND exterior mirrors. * Premium radio with nice subwoofers so you can blast it loud while the top is down without distortion. * Bluetooth integrated with your phone. * BMW Assist (service requires paid fee to BMW). * Carbon Fiber leather stitching trim on the dashboard. If you love leather, you will LOVE this car. It has the hard to find $2700-optional EXTENDED leather package, which specifically includes: * Smothering the ENTIRE interior with the same Nappa leather as the seats. * Rollbars completely covered with stitched black leather. * The entire door panel (passenger and driver) is completely covered with leather top to bottom. This was one of the features I hated in standard M Z4s, as the top of the standard door panel felt very cheap and plasticy with its hard surface. Standard M Z4s only had leather in the center stripe of the door panel, but this option makes the entire door panel the same soft leather as the seats. When you are driving with the top down and your skin is touching the door panel, you don't want that hard plastic and will truly appreciate the leather covering every square inch of the door panel surface. * The entire center console is covered with leather, starting around the buttons for the DSC / convertible top, and continuing all the way to the back, behind the seats and up to the rollbar covers * The A pillar covering, the area around the maplights, and the entire windshield covering is also covered in leather with nice stitches to show it off. * The vanity mirrors inside and out (except for the glass!) is also this same high grade Nappa leather. When I got this car, I first leased it, and then purchased it, so the dealer had to mark the vehicle as a Demo to do the paperwork, but it was definitely not a demo and never had anyone test drive it except myself (so as to not exceed excess RPM during the break in). This means that the 4 year, bumper to bumper, warranty was slightly extended until NOVEMBER 30, 2010. As the original owner, I am entitled to purchase directly from BMW an extended warranty which is equivalent to the BMW CPO program. This makes the car exactly the same as purchased a CPO from the dealer. This would bring the total warranty to 6 years, 100,000 miles. BMW only allows the original owner to purchase it, but it is transferable and remains on the car after it is sold. If you so wish, I can purchase the extended BMW warranty and add the cost of it to the purchase price of the car. The cost varies depending on which dealer sells it to you, but is around $2600. This would extend the warranty to November 30, 2012 and 100,000 miles. There are also various scheduled maintenance plans that can be purchased. The car is in superb condition mechanically, and drives exactly the same as the first day I bought it. Everything works as expected. All service has been performed as scheduled by the BMW dealer. Since this car is low-mileage (I lived in Hawaii, after all), it means that it was eligible to receive a free oil change once per year, which it did exactly on schedule. There is an added on built in Laser Jammer / Detection system hard wired into the car, and I also have added an IPOD / External Aux input connection in the storage console in the center of the interior. It still has the original tires and brakes and brakes pads were measured at 60% remaining in its last service less than a month ago. The car is in need of new rear tires very soon, as they only slightly above the wear bars. I don't recommend the Continental tires that it came with, and since this is a very special car, I will leave the decision on replacing the tires up to its new owner. The car has never been in any accident or crash, but was once in a parking lot and had the passenger side mirror kicked off, and an insurance claim was made to fix and replace the mirror and slight damage to the door from the broken mirror. At the same time, I also had the fenders and trunklid repainted to fix some minor dents and scratches. Right now, there is a new small dimple on the trunklid (shown in photo) from closing it on item that was too large to fit into it. There is some curb damage on some of the rims (shown in photo) as well. There is also a small dent on the driver's front fender from a shopping cart impact. There are no scratches anywhere on the car, however. http://picasaweb.google.com/114027858096616322497/Z4# has the rest of the photos. The front bumper has damage underneath and around the flared lower lips; this is almost impossible to avoid as roads were not made with a low-to-the-ground sports cars in mind! The interior is in excellent condition for its age and most of the leather looks brand new. There is NO scuffing on the driver's seat bolster, as I have always been extremely careful when getting in and out of the car. Unfortunately, my passengers were not as neurotic and there is some slight scuffing of the leather on the passenger seat bolster (shown in photo). I am not going to ruin the very special extended leather interior with cheap shiny Armorall to hide and grease up every flaw like some other Z4s I've seen on this site. The interior is in excellent condition and the leather is still soft and supple. It is not shiny and greased up (which indicates excessive wear). The best way to keep it looking new is simply a damp cloth and Zymol or Leatherique no more than once a year! Now that you know the exact honest condition of this car, despite every flaw I've indicated, which requires getting on your knees to see and studying, I can tell you that for a 4 year old car it still looks fantastic! It will essentially be very difficult to even find a scratch! I welcome further questions by email or phone call, and am happy to take additional pictures of anything you would like to see, if you are from out of town. If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, you are welcome to personally come check out the car as well, prior to bidding. I work in the East Bay and live in San Francisco. I am happy to work with your shipping company if you would like to ship the car as opposed to come pick it up. $500 deposit (or full payment) required by PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. There is no reserve and no minimum bid, so this car will sell. DO NOT BID unless you intend to buy it. Good luck, you will love this baby!
