Chevrolet s-10 regular cab 6 foot bed, needs engine work. I bought this car for my dad in 2006. He drove the car about 36,000 miles when he blew the head gasket. The radiator developed a leak and he drove it w/o water for several days. I had the heads redone but now the truck has a serious vacuum leak. It starts fine and idles smooth but you can hear a loud hiss. After a minute the hiss becomes a squeal and the truck loses power. I would recommend replacing the engine - please bid accordingly. The body is in really good shape, the paint is bright with no fading, though it does have several scratches on the hood and driver"s door from tree branches during a thunder storm. There are no cracks in the dash and no tears in the seats. The radio and AC work fine. There is a small dent on the very top left side of the bed door where I backed into the loader at the local dump. The tires are good with better than 50% tread left. The shocks and suspension are good as well. The front bumper is missing a piece of the plastic on the bottom of passenger side. This is a solid truck, It would make a great vehicle for someone who already has, or is willing to drop, another engine into it. if possible, you are encouraged to look at it before bidding. I have included some extra photos showing the scratches on the hood and right and left side bed. The scratches on the bed are the result of carelessness in loading (it was a work vehicle after all.) Also, a photo of the interior bed showing a small dent on the driver's side wheel cover is included. There is a bed liner, and other than this, it is in very good condition. There are also two quarter size dents on the driver's side bed (no break in the paint) which do not show up in the photos. I know these might be nit picky items, but i would like to avoid as many problems as possible before the final sale.
