Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1969 Mustang that I have driven for over 26 years. Prior to me, the vehicle belonged to my father who was the original owner, so this vehicle has been in the family since it was originally sold. That being said, this vehicle has resided in Southern California its entire life. Furthermore, I am a non-smoker so the interior has no smoke smell or residue. Okay, so here are the details: This is a 1969 Mustang coupe with manual transmission (3 speed) and the six cylinder 250 cid engine. The vehicle has a bad head gasket and I do not have the time to work on it anymore so I am selling it. The engine was rebuilt about 12 years ago and has approximately 40,000 miles on it. Other issues are the original interior which needs to be replaced and the driver's seat is broken (a replacement seat is included in the sale). The brakes need to be redone (fairly easy task on this vehicle). The windshield also has a crack in it. The driver's door has been dented, but should not be considered significant damage. The engine has a Clifford header and the carb was replaced with a 32/36 Holley progressive carb, so there is decent gas mileage when not stabbing the throttle and plenty of get up when it needs it. The ignition was changed out to a MSD/Duraspark II system and has run flawlessly ever since. Original equipment is included in the sale as well. Plus a variety of other parts collected over the car's lifetime. Also included and never installed are reproduction door panels, arm rests, mirror, etc. I was intending on restoring it again (last time was more than 20 years ago), but no time anymore. The lucky buyer will receive lots of additional parts, books, information, receipts, etc. Plus, I am well acquainted with the vehicle and would be more than willing to answer questions. As said previously the vehicle was restored 20 plus years agoa and repainted the original color (New Lime). The interior consists of the standard black interior. I was also in the process of installing A/C in the car so there are a variety of components for that set up, but never completed. The headgasket leak is severe enough that it should not be driven, but it does start and runs. Somebody inquired about rust on the vehicle and the underside so I wanted to include my response to them: I tried to photograph the worst rust that is visible. There is some light surface rust but nothing too bad. Years ago, I remember seeing some rust around the inside of the driver's side of the windshield, but I havent observed any watering entering from there so I dont think it was too bad (hidden by dash pad). There is no underside rust. The bottom was undercoated after initially purchased in 1969. I will provide an additional photo or two of the underside later.
