Vehicle Detail
Very Solid 1976 Monte Carlo in Need of restoration. This car has never been repainted, and it is solid, in fact it is solid in all of the places these generally rust through, including the quarters, fenders, doors, and most importantly the top. Frame is solid, the car is still mostly original, with the exception of an aftermarket radio and edelbrock valve covers. This car has not been on the road since 2002 and the engine, Although Original and Complete, has seized from sitting, I know you can unseize it with lubricants in the spark plug chambers, but IF I were going to redo the car, I would pull it and build it. The transmission is a turbo 350 which is good. The car had $600.00 worth of new exhaust prior to being retired, including 2 brand new catalytic converters. The deck lid closes like new and the weather strip channel is rust free, as is the underside of the deck lid. The doors line up and close good. Car came with sport mirrors, A/C and tilt wheel, which is still tight. The front floorpans are soft and will more than likely need some patch work or new pans, they aren't rusted through but they are weak. All of the body lines are straight. Glass is in good shape except for the windshield, it has two rock chips in it. Car still has it's original chevrolet rally wheels that are complete. Rear bumper filler panel is gone. All lights, fan motor, etc work. There is some surface rust around the grill and in some spots where the vinyl top was, but no rust through. The cowl is in good shape as well. Has rear sway bar. Ladies grandson spread some bondo on the car, on the drivers side were some small dings were and on the passenger side door were a small crease was in the door from where she swiped something. This is one of the Best starting points you will find, if you are looking to build an original, Hot Rod, or a "Donk". This is a car that I had saved back for myself, as the first car I remember riding in was identical to this one, and I looked at plenty of them before I bought this car, if that tells you anything. If you are in my area and want to come look the car over you are free to do so. I have the original sales receipt and other goodies, There is no title, as in Georgia it is not required on pre 1986 vehicles. It comes with a legal bill of sale as well as it's most current registration, which most states will issue a title for, I suggest you check with your local mvr before placing a bid. This will be a NO RESERVE AUCTION. High Bidder Wins this classic. Car should be paid for in full within 5 days of auction end, Sold as is where is, Buyer is responsible for transport, Car should be picked up promptly. Don't miss out on this one....................
