Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1969 International Scout 800 (I don't know if it is A or B). V-8 304 with a 3 speed manual transmission with approximately 75,000 miles, which I believe are original. This is a very clean vehicle bought from AZ that I've owned for 8 years. It has only been driven on sunny days and has been kept in a garage since I've had it. The highlights: This is what I've done since I got it....body and top cleaned and painted (no rust on it before the repaint) and the underbody was blasted and painted with "macropoxy" which is a chemical resistant coating used to coat large gas tanks in the refining industry - very tough. All new brake drums, shoes and wheel cylinders - master cyclinder rebuilt. Both gas tanks removed, cleaned and recoated professionally. The carb has been rebuilt and it has an electric fuel pump. New condensor, points rotator cap and plugs / wires installed. Timing and dwell set. New manual locking choke installed. New battery installed. New water pump and hoses installed, radiator is in good condition and was flushed and painted prior to reinstallation and I installed an overfill tank. Has two clean chevy silverado seats with 4 point seatbelts, it fits nicely and matches the interior steel blue paint color. The rear seat is in good condition. The interior was painted before I got it and is in great shape. Small rust hole on floor board near fire wall, not on the floor, which was painted by macropoxy. What it needs or doesn't work: Wind shield wipers don't work, heater fan doesn't work, headlights (hi and lo) worked last time I checked but I only drive during day, needs rear seat belts, glove box and one of the fuel sending units doesn't work. Oil pan gasket drips a little after running it. One side window has crack. It comes with many extra parts: original front seats (rough shape), alternator, starter, rotator gear (may be for a 345?), factory AC unit, steering wheel, original oil bath air filter and Chilton repair manual. Since I got the Scout, I've spent my time working on it. I've only put about 1,000 miles on it. It starts right up and runs great through all gears. It has locking hubs and 4 lo and hi both work like they should. It drives straight and sounds great. It has glass pack mufflers, which were on it when I got it. With a little extra effort, this is the perfect Scout! E-mail me with any questions. Sale is final upon completion of auction, no returns, make sure you have all information before bidding.
