Vehicle Detail

Early model Dodge Carryall, possibly a WC10 or WC17. This vehicle does not run, but the engine does turn over on the start motor with a six volt battery. The front axle has had the guts of the differential removed, there is no forward drive shaft. I don't know whether the transfer case is there or not. The vehicle is probably for parts only, but someone serious about a restoration may be able to bring this back. The frame is in good shape, there is still some wood left in the bed. The body panels are all there, but most are rusted out at the low-points. The doors and tailgate are there and functional. The tailgate is rusted, but probably salvageable. The sheetmetal forward of the cab is in moderately good condition (hood seems very good, front fenders are rusted in a few of the usual places, the grill and headlight guards are in good condition). The windshield frame is in the bed of the truck, pretty rusted. Please look at the pictures and let me know if you would like more. The "missing" fender and running board are in the bed of the truck, along with a hand crank for the motor. All of the roll-up window gear (6) is present, but I don't know how many are salvageable. The tires are completely shot, so the vehicle does not roll as-is. I can assist with loading on your trailer. I bought this because I couldn't let a piece of military history sit in a field and rot. I simply do not have the facilities or the time to do the work on this truck to save it, and I'm really not a Carryall guy. I will consider trades for T-16 Universal Carrier and other military vehicle parts if the auction is not successful. Try me. I will update this listing with the VIN; it is stamped on the front left frame rail and is readable. The vehicle will need to be trailered from Stetson, ME. The actual mileage on the vehicle is unknown. The doors have markings indicating 29th AB Co. CANADIAN BIDDERS: I have no idea if this vehicle can be legally brought into Canada from the US. It is an ex-military, WWII vehicle. I am not sure whether it is a WC10 or WC17; the VIN will clarify that for the historians out there. There is no title or registration for this vehicle. If you think that is going to be a problem for you, let me know! We can work that out. Finally, if you have any questions, ask. I will answer as soon as I can. I will be able to get the VIN on Monday, October 18, but not before then (I'm on the road).
