This old 1965 Ford pickup is ready for a new home. I bought the truck from the widow of the last owner. She told me her husband got it from here uncle who had bought it new. The truck looks to have been well cared for over the years. It was said to have been their recreational vehicle which is why the mileage may be so low. The truck is running, driving, and registered through April 2011. It is a true survivor and these are getting hard to find untouched. This generation of Ford truck spanned from 1961 to 1966. The truck features a Ford straight six and a manual 3 speed on the column. The engine fires right up and runs very well. It does not smoke or miss and it accelerates well. The truck has no trouble maintaining freeway speeds. The body of this old truck is straight. The truck is very solid and the only rust I could find is at the front of the hood which is very common on these trucks. Floors, cab corners, the bed show no signs of rust through. The bed is VERY clean, looks almost un-used under the protective wood they had in the back. SEE PICS The truck retains its original heavy fiberglass camper shell. It is in very good condition although it will need the back window replaced as it is missing. You can choose to take or leave the shell as it has already been removed. The cockpit still retains its original bench seat. The original dash is uncut and the factory instuments are still present with factory accessory gauges as well. An after market A/C system was added some time ago. It looks to be all there but there wires that are not hooked up so I do not know of its operating condition. The truck's electrical system is in working order. The charging system, headlights, taillights, turn signals, and brake lights, heater, and windshield wipers are all working. The horn is not currently working. The truck's glass in good shape, the side windows roll up and down freely. The truck still retains its original 15 inch steel wheel and hub caps. The skinny white wall tires look good on the truck and have some tread life left. The truck still has matching blue and yellow Folsom State Prison made California license plates. Overall this truck is good restoration candidate as it is so original. OR leave it as is and just enjoy this old survivor. The odometer reads about 62k. It is not know if this is the actual mileage or not. The truck is sold where-is as-is no warranty expressed or implied. Shipping and shipping costs are the buyers responsibility.
