Before we begin, we want to make things very clear. This is a used car, and is likely not in perfect condition. If you're looking for a car that is 100% perfect, you need to purchase a new car. Also, we do not sell parts of any kind. 1968 Dodge Dart 270 sedan, equipped with the 273 cubic inch V8 engine, with automatic transmission. This is an original California black and yellow license plate car. These correct vintage California license plates have been on the car since new, and are included with the car to any buyer regardless of state. Vehicle is exempt from mileage reporting due to age. Purchase includes a clear California title. This car came to us from a northern California donation agency so any history on the car is unknown. The car is in overall good original condition with normal wear inside and out. The car runs very well, however, we've only driven the car very short distances. The car was left running during the photography process and did not overheat or indicate any other obvious issues. Because we're unfamiliar with the cars history, we always recommend the buyer having the vehicle serviced prior to driving any significant distance. But the car currently starts, runs, and drives just fine. Unlike some other sellers on ebay, we do not put "mint" in the titles of our vehicles and then proceed to bury the flaws in long paragraphs where they can be overlooked. Please take the time to view all of the photographs and point by point descriptions. The reserve will not be disclosed, so please don't ask. We've shipped many vehicles overseas and have many happy customers there. If you're a potential overseas customer you can count on our assistance. Remember we "hand select" each vehicle, always personally inspecting them before purchasing them. We purchase these cars as if we were shopping for our own personal car, selecting the best quality vehicles we can locate. If arriving from out of town, you can simply fly into the San Francisco or Oakland Airports. VEHICLE EXTERIOR CONDITION Overall condition of the exterior is good, with normal wear. We didn't paint this vehicle, because there is no reason to do so. We felt that this expense if desired should be left up to the buyer. The curent condition of the exterior still looks good, but the paint is old and may be worn in some plates. There may be dings and scratches present consistent with a used vehicle. Overall the body is straight and the paint looks good considering the age and use of the car. The front grill, headlights, and front bumper areas are in good to excellent original condition with normal wear. The rear taillights and rear bumper areas are in good original condition with normal wear. There is a close up shot of the trunk lid that has some damage. All tires are in good condition and are size P205-70R-14 with a spare in the trunk. The glass is in excellent original condition with wear. This is a mostly rust free California car. VEHICLE INTERIOR CONDITION Overall condition of the green interior is good with normal wear. The front bench seat is in average condition with normal wear. There is some wear on the driver's side of the seat. The rear passenger seat is in average condition with normal wear. The dash pad is in average original condition with normal wear with some cracks. The dash face is in good to excellent original condition with normal wear. There is a factory AM radio correctly installed in the dash, it works fine. The car will need a replacement antenna for improved radio reception, refer to photographs. The carpeting is in average original condition with normal wear. All door panels are in good original condition with normal wear. The upholstery on the armrests on the door panels are worn, and the armrest base for the left rear door panel is broken. The piece is included for repair if desired, but an aftermarket replacement would probably be easier. The headliner is in good to excellent original condition with normal wear. The steering wheel is in excellent original condition with normal wear. The overhead visors are in excellent original condition with normal wear. The trunk area is in good original condition with normal wear. There is a jack and spare tire present. Overall this interior is clean, stock, and looks good considering the age of the Dart. VEHICLE ELECTRICAL CONDITION Overall electrical condition of the vehicle is excellent with normal wear. Equipped with heater/defroster, they work fine. The headlights, turn signals, etc., are all working fine. Interior gauges appear to be working fine. Equipped with manual steering, it works fine. Equipped with manual brakes, they work fine. VEHICLE MECHANICAL CONDITION This Dodge Dart sedan is equipped with the 273 V8 engine and automatic transmission. The car runs excellent but we haven't driven it any considerable distances. This car has been driven occasionally since we acquired it, and we have not had any problems. Performance is excellent; it’s comfortable, dependable, and safe. The transmission shifts with no problems or unusual noises. The vehicle accelerates smoothly and sounds great, also no unusual noises. The engine does not ping or knock. Acceleration is strong, braking is strong, it just runs great overall. No known problems here. I've done my very best to describe the vehicle as honestly as possible. I don't know everything about the vehicle's condition and don't claim to. I didn't go over every inch of the car inside and out, but tried to accurately describe the major points. Mileage may vary upon delivery due to occasional use and test drives. Some vehicles are factory equipped with only a 5 digit odometer. On these vehicles, mileage indicated in the auction is an odometer reading, as the odometer may only be capable of 5 digits. Make sure you inquire to DAS information regarding insurance coverage's on the vehicles they transport. The vehicle can be stored free of charge for up to two weeks after the auction has ended, or longer with prior notification and agreement. Vehicles left past the agreed storage date are subject to a $15.00 per day storage fee. We are open for vehicle pick up during the week. We are not open on the weekend, but can make an exception with prior arrangement. Sorry but we spend weekends with our families. VEHICLE REGISTRATION, SALES TAX, SMOG, FEES, ETC: We are a licensed California auto dealer. The state requires that if you're out of state and plan on coming here to pick up the vehicle, you need to know that California law REQUIRES the buyer to pay sales tax, registration, and smog fee's if they pick up the car and drive it away. This is still the LAW even if you put the car on your trailer and it never touches the California roadway. If you're out of state, avoid can avoid all of these required fees by having your car shipped to your state. This in most cases is less expensive anyway by the time you figure gas, lodging, and other expenses. If you're an out of state buyer but picking up the vehicle and driving home, we can reduce the state required registration to a $18.00 one trip permit, but the other fees will still apply. If you are a California resident, we collect sales tax, registration fee, and a $58.25 smog inspection fee. We then provide you with temporary registration in the window so you can legally drive the vehicle until your title and license plates arrive in the mail. All sales require a $55.00 DMV and paperwork fee. This covers the costs of our mailings of the title, bill of sale, license plates if required, and going to the DMV for you on your behalf. PAYMENT INFORMATION: Please follow the rules of the auction after it is completed, regarding deposit and full payment deadlines. Anyone not following through with the auction will be reported to Ebay and NEGATIVE FEEDBACK will be left. There is a clear title on the vehicle. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 must be received by me within 24 hours of the close of auction via Paypal, money order, or cashiers check, sent via overnight express mail. After that, full payment needs to have been received within the next five business days of the close of auction. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL AS PAYMENT FOR THE BALANCE DUE. In other words, full payment balance after deposit is due 5 business days after the auction close date, and must be paid via cash (in person only for cash), cashiers check, or money order. All vehicles that are sold to California buyers that legally require a smog inspection will include it, unless otherwise stated in the auction. Any California buyer will be responsible for all state sales tax, license and actual smog inspection fee. Any out of state buyer will need to contact their own DMV office for registration and transfer information.
