You are bidding on a 1995 Ford Taurus with nearly 126K miles. This vehicle sat for about 4 yrs without being driven. I have had several items repaired/replaced in order to get in back in running condition. Since the repairs, this car has driven nicely for about 3 yrs. I have put over 70K miles on it. This is a NY car and as you can see from the photos is has rust along the wheel wells as well as some other spots here and there. The under carriage is not bad, but is does have extensive rust under the radiator mount. Exterior: Rust has penetrated the wheel wells. There is other surface rust in other area of the car. (See Photos) The car needs a fuel tank neck. The top of the neck has rusted completely. I have had to drain water from the lines a couple of times. Tires: Front tires are new with 95% tread. The rear tires are have about 25-30% tread. Interior: Interior is in pretty good shape. It does have stains on the carpet, but has floor mats. Electrical: The car is experiencing some electrical problems. It does need a wiper motor which may or may not be the problem. When you engage the wipers, all of the dash lights and headlights flash speradically. Transmission: The transmission has had some problems slipping. It seems to be something electrical as it generally slips when you turn on the electrical components of the car. Items that were replaced in the past 2-3 yrs; Alternator, oil pan, springs/shocks, belts/tensioner, brakes, brake lines, rotors/drums, battery. Although this car runs and drives fine, the problems listed above would need attention in order to pass inspection. Otherwise this would make a great parts car for a current Taurus owner.
