Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on my 1958 Chevy Nomad. This is an excellent condition Nomad, born and raised in California. Was an old school lowrider back in the day, never been cut for hydros. The car is 99% rust free, bottom and frame have been scraped and cleaned, ready to undercoat/paint. The engine compartment has been cleaned and prepped for paint. All the trim is present and accounted for, most in excellent condition (even has the side inserts). All glass is in excellent condition, have a replacement for the pass side thats cracked, and an extra rear hatch glass in case you dont like the old school glass etching. I put on the 58 impala steering wheel, it was restored at one time and will look great once painted to match. The body is straight as an arrow down the sides, no rust in the fenders/headlight buckets, rear door handles were shaved (yes Nomads were 4 door in 58), paint is old but will clean up to be a nice driver and looks to be a teal color, the roof has lots of small chips and holes from a visor need to be filled (if you dont use the visor which is fiberglass not metal). California one piece bumpers in excellent condition, the frame is a solid Cali frame but needs to have one of the rear shock mounts re welded. New 14x7 supremes with brand new tires, bullet caps and lugs. Rear is low because of cut springs (and broken shock tower), I will have a set of air bags put in the rear for shipping. Car is currently registered with clear title in my name, and I have personlized plates assigned to the car. I have the original vanity plates from the 70s, painted black and yellow. I bought this car because it was so straight and perfect for a restoration (i sold another nomad a couple years ago for twice what Im asking and it wasnt nearly as nice), hate to sell it but I just have too many right now. I have another in the paint shop I would like to finish, so if I can sell this one I get my convertible painted. Otherwise the car will be sitting for a while longer while I get the others done. On Oct-14-10 at 15:36:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to put in the description that there is no motor with the car. I believe it was originally a 348. I have a rebuildable Turboglide trans that will go with the car.
