1974 Suzuki RL250

For sale 1974 Suzuki RL-250 Frame off restoration. This RL is listed as a 1974 but does have the steel tank on it (not all bad since the steel is tank is far more durable hence the factory dropping the aluminum after 1st year) but that was what was on the bike when I got it the front end is all new tube and IRC trials tires new fork seals, new brakes and front brake cable,new steering stem bearings and installed the beamish type front fender and bracket for more durability, new paint all the way around and when the frame was off had it swingarm, kickstand, engine mounts and other silver pieces powder coated, then on assembly new swing arm bushings and sleeves were installed along with shocks that outperform OEM rear shocks hands down. Engine was running but figured after 30 plus years will not hurt to go through engine anyway. Started with complete teardown and installed factory OEM lower rod bearing and connecting rod,and top end bearings, new engine case bearings and seals, top end was bored 1st over and installed Suzuki top end ( will always try to use OEM versus aftermarket if they are still available) installed all new clutch plates, sliders, push rods for that new feel clutch. Exhaust Was decarbonized and we installed a B&J aftermarket silencer which is custom made for this bike. Installed all new cables and and controls, installed an easy pull clutch lever to ease the clutch action even more. This bike is very nicely done. New air filter was was installed carb ultrasonically cleaned, new drive chain and installed new rear tube and rear IRC trials tire, new seat cover. This bike just has every part on it either cleaned and installed or upgraded for appearance or durability it is complete and can be rode in AHRMA events immediately will start 1or 2nd kick and shifts through the gears pefectly has no hesitatiion no problems everything works perfectly. This is the perfect bike to ride or show it will do either very well.
