Okay... where do I start. I do not want to get rid of this car, but I am running out of room in my shop so something has to give... plus I want a new Porsche, so bye bye Gold Digger. Sit back and I'll tell you a story. Last year I entered a car rally that went from San Fransisco to Las Vegas. It was a bunch of guys (and gals) in souped up exotic cars driving the speed limit over a 1500 mile distance with dinners and wine tastings planned each night... most of all, we were not speeding. So I could not figure out what to drive that would top a bunch of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Then I thought of Cannonball Run and decided to do an ex-police car. I had a set of decals made to go on the side of the car and the name "Gold Digger Patrol" was born. I know... very prepubescent, but lots of fun. I bought the car with low mileage out of California. Supposedly the low mileage was due to it being a security patrol car that just did rounds and sat a lot. I also believe that because the brakes were SHOT when I got it... they have been replaced. I also went though and replaced shocks, fluids, belts, and a couple of bearings. Car is ready to go and I would not be scared to drive this car... at highway speeds... in the left hand lane the whole time... from here to Vegas. Car is a factory Police Interceptor car but has options such as cruise control, power windows, and power door locks that some of the government cars did not come with. It has never had a cage in the back of it. Seats look like new. Car was repainted this year due to some of the paint peeling when we took the Gold Digger stickers off. Car might have had a light bar on top at one time but I can't see where any holes were so I don't know for sure. Wheels are perfect with no curbing. Car will settle in and run 75 mph all day long. Before the rally, I had a Kenwood DNX5140 nav/dvd/ipod/sat radio head unit installed along with 2 amps, subs, and all new speakers. Gotta have tunes on a road trip. I have been into stereos for years and love a good sounding stereo, and I will say with confidence that this sounds better than any other stereo I've ever owned. I can't explain it but it is really that good. No crazy thumping system but has great highs and deep lows. At that time I had a custom center console built and a custom box in the truck to house the amps and a hidden storage cubby under the box. The car has a set of strobe lights and also has a siren hooked up. The siren also has a PA system with external speaker. Now, the lights are clear and as long as you are not a complete idiot and try to pull over your buddy on the interstate, it is legal. But, do not try to pull ANYONE over. Whether you know them or not, the police and the judges of America do not think impersonating an officer at any time is funny and they will throw the book at you. We are talking serious jail time. Long enough where you will walk funny the rest of your life. Lights and sirens are for parade and show use only. Please come and inspect the car before you buy it. I encourage everyone to come and look at it. When you come and pick it up, you are coming and handing me a cashiers check and getting in the car and leaving. When you pick it up is not the time to decide to give it a once over to decide if you want it. At that point I don't care what you think, I want my money. I am not trying to hide anything and inspections are encouraged, I am trying to not waste my time and yours. This auction is without reserve which means I want to sell the car no matter what so the high bidder gets the car. There is not a minimum and not a buy it now price. Bid if you want it.
