1974 Custom Show Formula Firebird I have a pretty good car collection, mostly newer stuff, and I had a one off custom chopper that I traded for this Formula. It is an AWESOME car… just not my style. The previous owner created a labor of love. The outside is a tri-coat Lamborghini Pearl Orange that is just gorgeous. The FireHawk on the front is not a decal, it is in the paint. It has 20” wheels with Michelin 315’s on the rear and Nitto 255 triple 555’s on the front. The front suspension has been completely re-done and updated with disc brakes, but the rear is pretty much stock. The door handles are shaved and the doors pop open remotely from a key FOB or buttons on the console. The Dash is a one off custom fabbed unit hand built and sanded coated to a mirror finish that matches the custom console and middle are rest all the way to the back of the car between the seats. Custom bucket race seats with full 6 point harnesses are in the front and back…4 total! The fabric is black and orange that matches the paint perfect. The doors inside skins and arm bolsters in the rear are covered with high grain leather with custom subtle orange deviated stitching… with a Pontiac emblem molded into the leather. The engine and tranny have been rebuilt. The motor is a Pontiac 400 with a good thumping mild cam, through great sounding Flowmaster exhaust. It is completely tagged and inspected and street legal with all safety requirements intact. The head liner is top of the line and perfect. There is so little to do the car to make it perfect. There are creaky sounds in the rear suspension, and that is about the only flaw (if you want to call it a flaw) the car has. Maybe it’s normal in an old car. For show, there are bars in the trunk that raise the hood so folks can view the motor under the hood that is raised about 2 feet. We took it to Mustang Sally Productions show in Frisco last Saturday and it won best in show, and best engine. Hopefully this car can finds its way to its rightful home where it can be appreciated and continued to be loved. Clear perfect Texas Title waiting for a cash buyer.
