This is a 1968 AMC Rambler American 2 door sedan with a 232 cubic inch straight 6 engine with an automatic transmission. I purchased this car 4 years ago. It right now shows 21000 miles. I am unsure if the odometer has flipped. The car gets me around town with no trouble. I recently drove it from Ventura to San Diego. I have no trouble climbing hills or getting above 75 mph. Since buying the car I have rebuilt / replaced / repaired the front suspension, fuel pump, switches, wiper motor, carburator, transmission mount, steering gear box, exhaust manifold, timing chain, fuel pump, and radiator. Installed a Kenwood USB/MP3/CD radio in the glove compartment. Replaced center dashboard speaker. Negatives - Rear bumper is bent, body damage near the front right head light, no heater core, front seat is ripped, the head liner and dash cover have been removed. I wish I could continue to restore this car to its original quality, but I am leaving southern california and need to leave it in good hands with another rambler fan.
