Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1961 Cadillac Convertible. As you can see, the car is in need of a restoration! However, It is a very solid starting point. The body is in very good condition and has very little rust!!!! This was one of my fathers cars that he never got around to restoring. Prior to him getting it, the previous owner must have started to redo the car. It seems that the body was taken off the frame and they began to restore the rolling chassis. The frame and suspension appear to be in great shape and were redone, right before my Dad purchased it. When he bought it, the body was mounted back on the frame in order to transport it. It is pretty much a complete car, except that it was taken apart to start the restoration. Most of the original parts are stored in my dads garage along with the car and are included in the auction. Everything that was removed, will be included with the auction. The bumpers, fenders, hood, radiator support, headlights, dash, etc.. are all included. I tried to take pictures of some of the parts that are boxed up but there is a lot more stuff that I couldn't get pics of. I also found a new gas tank in the box and an extra pair of fenders that will be included!!!! My dad paid a lot of money just for the extra rust free California front fenders on ebay! This is a very good starting point for someone who wants to restore / build a 1961 Caddy convertible but I don't have the time or means to complete the project. I am listing it with no reserve so it will go to the highest bidder!!! Keep in mind that there are a lot of parts that go with the car so it may need to be picked up by someone with a truck and trailer. I can assist with shipping but all shipping is at the buyers expense. I have a contact who specializes in transporting project cars and wrecks that I can get you in touch with! However, local pick up is definitely recommended due to the large amound and size of parts!!! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!!! If you are attending the Fall Hershey car show and would like to come look at it, I am located about 1 hour north of Hershey, PA. Or, use the buy it now option, take it to Hershey, and make money!!!
