Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE Please do not bid if you have no plan on buying this. I have been burned by dead beats twice now, they never showed up. AS OF 8/23/10 I BYPASSED HEATER CORE BECAUSE THE INLET WHERE THE HOSE CLAMPS HAD A LEAK. This is a 1972 scout body on a 1979 frame and drivetrain. The grill is a 1973. The scout body came from the south and is in great condition. All mounts are good but there was one that was weak under the drivers foot that I added some metal. The frame was painted with por 15 when the body was off, and the top side of the gas tank. There is still some factory paint under the body. The floors had two small strips of sheet metal added where your feet rest. That was the only weak part of the floor. Other than that floors are solid with all braces intact, as well as rockers. Overall one of the nicest bodys on a scout to be found. The motor is a 304 mileage unknown but runs and sounds very smooth. There is an oil leak but I can't pinpoint where it is coming from. It has a holley 2 barrle without the air cleaner to fit it. The radiator was redone 3 years ago and has 15 miles of use. There are new valve cover gaskets. The rear end has a factory posi. I just put in a skyjacker 4 inch spring lift 4 new shocks and new bolts and drop pitman arm. Tires should sticker but not that great bfg 31 x 10.5 -15. Windshield is brand new, the dash is very nice it has a smaller steering wheel than most scouts but it is a scout wheel. The horn doesnt work from the wheel but I have installed a push button that works. All gauges and all lights in dash and outside work, the only light that doesnt work is left green flasher in speedo. The only part of original vinyl flooring left is over the middle hump where shifters are. Its not in great shape it has a few rips and cracks. The carpet was put in by me. Just basic thin gray home depot stuff. I did por 15 the entire floor from pedals to the tailgate before carpet. Inside the glove box has a tear in the original box but door works fine. Brake lines to rear are new , ebrake works. I am missing one of the rear seat belts that bolt through the floor so I left the other one off. The door weather strips I pieced together from a junk yard and the windows need the rubber strips also. The seats need to be redone but has seat covers on it now. The paint is from last fall. It is solid black urethane. As of 4/11/10 I have the title and picked up a top. It has surface rust around edge for weather strip and on the lower rails inside. The lift gate needs the handle fixed and 2 of the 8 screws need to be drilled out for the hinge. It has a chrome rack and the interior plastic is in good shape. The top will need some attention and paint but overall its nice.
