Hello and welcome to my auction. I have here a very nice 1975 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible . I'm not going to waste anybody's time and I ask the same of you. So please read ad in it's entirety and when in doubt email or call me at (805)423-4559 . We are not selling a perfect , we are not selling a fully restored car. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get , nothing more,nothing less and title is Clear in my name and the car and is registered and tagged tilll Sep 2011 in California and never needs to be smogged ever in the State of California. The car does have the original blue plates but the state of California did issue new plates when I registered it last week so please if not fimuliar with California allow a few days for the title to be issued if this is a problem simply don't bid. The car has been VIN verfied at the California DMV and the vin on the pan matches the federal id vin and the rivited vin tag in the frront dash . There are others who have used coupe pans on a convertible. There is none of that stuff with this one and this is a true California car and I just spent the past 2 days fixing every small dings and scratches and just painted it this afternoon. But if you are expecting anything more then a daily driver or a beach cruiser it will need to be repainted. I only used the base coat and no shine as there is no clear and the paint is only so it is all in one color and no primer. I do not need or want someone coming after they have won the auction and critize the body work or paint quality. So make it easier on you and me ,we will just say it will need repainted and leave it at that. Next , this has a brand new 1835 cc engine with less then 500 miles on it with a new clutch,pressure plate and throwout barring and the tranmission has only 15,000 miles on it . All the brakes all the way around are new including steel lines,rubber lines and wheel cylinders . All of the lights work and I will video tape running at night showing the turn signals and brakes lights working.Now as far as the interior and convertible top , please read this carefully. There is new carpet and I have brand new seat covers as well as a brand new convertible top but the headliner is original and the back window has not been cut but does include the window and frame. I am more then happy to install the window and I do have a new headliner you can buy seperatly that you can buy at my cost and I will install everything free of charge if that helps . Also the back seat is not original to the car. Last but not least the front windshield has a crack and front drivers tire is shot. I can make sure the car has 4 good tires so if you are coming in person to buy the car you can drive it away without any worries. The upside to this car far out weighs the downside, the doors will need to be adjusted a little bit and it should have new running boards and I would replace the door panals and the dash has a couple cracks but far better then most I have seen and a dash cap can replace that problem for around $80.00 and last the paint job should be improved. The upside brand new 1835 motor with plenty of power and best of all still gets 30 mpg . Next this is a California car with no rust in the shock towers,jack supports,heater channels,and floors look beautiful . The front and back aprin are not all bent up and this car has never been in any accidents of any kind and this is it's first re-paint. I'm not trying to get rich here and I want an easy transaction and a satified buyer . I would rather tell you the car is less quality and down play it then tell you it is gold and have you disappointed. I have been restoring super beetle convertibles and this is far from bad one.This is one that I would put my 21 year old daughter in, who is pregnant and feel safe wtih her driving it anywhere. Also I am not like most on ebay who only selling their vehicles because something is wrong with it and they need to get rid of it. I restore beetles for a living and I am not emotionally attached to them but I am not a dealer either and I put a lot of love , time and energy into each one of my cars and I'm selling fun. If you are one of those picky guys and want sit around rolling around in the dirt or wanting to pick over every inch of the car then please go bother someone else. I am not offering a reserve on this car so I implore all to be serious and when in doubt call and if at all possible come in person and view the car. That is the only 100% way you know exactly what you are getting . If you fail to do so is not my fault. I do give plenty of pictures, and video and run your curser of the link and takes a few seconds to load and take the time to view the car which saves you and me lots of hassle as the winning bidder will be legally binding to the sale and the jurisdiction will be limited to San Luis Obispo County in the city of Paso Robles. I hate having to bring up the legal stuff but to many online have been just been walking away without even a phone call let alone coming in person not just to me but I see the same cars re-listed over and over. You have 72 hours or 3 days for full payment by bank wire transfer,bank certified funds or of course cash in person. There is no other terms and there is no paypal so please don't ask. Title will be sent once received back from Sacramento or if in California I can meet at the DMV and all paperwork can be sent directly to you. Of course a California DMV bill of sale will be sent along with the title which is clear and in my name and current . With California the plates do go with the car.
