1 9 6 6 F o r d M u s t a n g P r o - T o u r i n g The 66’ Mustang I have for sale has all the looks of the classic mustang but now has all the goodies of a modern day vehicle. To start with the column has been switched out with a new Flaming River tilt model. The other parts that really makes the difference is the Flaming River rack in pinion unit and the billet aluminum power steering pump that replaced the old gear box. Plumbing all the fluid are all new braided lines of course. While all the steering was replaced, the suspension was also upgraded. The springs have been replaced with performance-lowered springs to help the handling and also give the car the ground-hugging look you see today. As far as the brakes, they were replaced with a new set of cross-drilled disc. The brakes system is power and now has a proportioning valve. The standard wheels and tires have also been changed, a new set of 17” chrome Mustang Cobra wheels and Sumitumo tires are now in place. The combination of everything really gave the car a complete different feel and look. The exterior as you can see has a new base coat clear paint job that looks absolutely stunning. The interior has not been changed much but does have an air condition unit for those hot summer days and also a new CD player with an IPod jack. The wiring in the car has been upgraded to a new Painless unit. This makes it very easy for future mods and also gives you the newer style fuse block. The last thing, the 289 engine has been rebuilt and now has a nice thump stick that gives the car a really nice sound and a really good feel. The engine also got a new Holley intake and a Demon carburetor. Along with a complete MSD ignition system. The engine was built for performance but is still a street minded engine. It runs on pump fuel, not race fuel and will deliver what ever you ask. The transmission mated to all this awesome power is a newer style AOD 4 speed. This give the car a lot more range on the interstate and makes the vehicle very fun to drive. As far as overall condition, the car is very complete and very clean. I would recommend any real buyer to come see the vehicle prior to bidding. If this were not an option, I would welcome a third party evaluation.
