1999 BMW 740il. Had to end auction and relist due to an error in the item description. I have owned this vehicle since it had 52K miles on it. Even though AutoCheck says there is an odometer discrepancy I can only justify it as being someones typo, there is no way the vehicle went forward and back in mileage as it shows within a 1 month period. I can assure you the mileage on the vehicle is correct. This is a No Reserve auction. I know and have lived the history of this wonderful car for the last 10 years. Currently has 271,000 miles on it most of which are honestly highway miles. She is looking for a new home and i must let her go for reasons of my own. I have done quite a bit of work on her over the years and I will try to be as accurate in my description as possible. She has been in a garage most of the time i have owned her and the pictures here are about as dirty as the car has ever looked. She has been very well maintained and the oil has been changed regularly. She is tinted to help preserve the leather interior here in florida and hashad a sunshade in the windshield religiously since i've owned it. Has Xenon headlamps, ICE COLD A/C, all power seat functions work on both front seats. Has 18" M par wheels but the spare is a standard 16" wheel. All the things that are issues with the car I will try to list as best as I can. Though it is a short list. She is a daily driver and I rely on her every day. She has never left me stranded on the highway. Full tan leather interior. Driver's seat shows some wear but no tears at all. The passenger seat and the rear seats show almost no wear at all with no tears or stains. The leather in this car has been regularly treated with Leatherique and or Lexol products. Car has never been smoked in and carries no mysterious odors of any kind.. The right front fog light is currently missing but i have a nice shiny new one for the left side that you can have. The right one was cracked and I purchased a pair here on Ebay. Replaced the right one and 2 weeks later i hit a piece of a truck tire which pretty much just knocked it out of place at 70 mph.....you know the rest. The sunroof liner began to sag after it got caught in something my other half was trying to load into the car, then a genius at the carwash decided he wanted to clean the glass and pulled back the cover and off came the liner. The rest of the headliner is fine and not sagging or anything. At 165,000 I installed a set of Vogtland springs and a set of Bilstein Heavy duty struts front and rear which gave it a nicer stance and it honestly did not compromise ride comfort. At 195,000 I replaced the timing chain and all of the guides on the car along with the front timing cover gasket assembly, front main seal and valve cover gaskets. At 235,000 I replaced the warer pump and not long before that the radiator was replaced as well. At 255,000 I installed a used transmission from Bavarian Autohaus which works flawlessly, at which point a used driveshaft with hanger bearing, both transmission mounts and both engine mounts and a rear main engine seal was installed as well. At this time I also replaced the infamous leaking Power Steering pressure hose (no fun). At 265,000 (recently) I replaced the front and rear suspension components including the front upper and lower control arms and bushings, sway bar links, center link assembly, rear ball joints (the ones that always wear out), and rear sway bar links. Had a full four wheel alignment done. About a month ago actually I had the windshield replaced for the 5th time (driving highway in florida will do that to you). After the suspension work the ABS light came on and I have not had time to even check it out but im pretty sure one of the sensors gave in after all these years. The check engine light has been going on and off and last year I had someone look at it at which point they told me it had to do with some emission thing...So I lived with it and currently the light is on. The right rear window will need a regulator since it is making some interesting noises on the way down and up. And on the top right corner the tint has developed a bubble but it is really not noticeable from outside. The clear coat on the hood is still shiny but is developing what looks like a fade to is so im not sure what can resolve that but i was told a good detailing/waxing guy can take care of it. About 5 years ago I was involved in an accident where I was rear ended by a Jeep so it hit me above the bumper. The work was performed by Ralph Perez here in Tampa who does all the work for the local BMW, Porsche and Mercedes dealers. The work was truly professional and the paint finish was flawlwess. The damage was cosmetic and there was no frame damage. After the vehicle sits for an extended time I sometimes get a rattle from the engine at initial start up for a split second like the oil has drained down. Car has been like that since i owned it pretty much so it has never been a concern for me. Tires on the vehicle are not a matched set but have adequate tread on them. Radio works fine but the CD changer started giving me errors and now just won't work at all.. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me prior to bidding. Added Note: I have had people asking me if they can drive this car to their home after purchasing it....my response is simple. I drive this car 60 miles every day to and from work on the interstate, the car does have 271,000 miles on it so if you wish to drive it from Florida to michigan or wherever it is up to you. I cannot and will not offer a warranty on the future performance of the vehicle. People ask if the car has any leaks. It has a minor coolant leak from the bypass coolant pipe under the waterpump which requires the topping off of the coolant reservoir every 3-4 weeks. There is also a very minor power steering fluid leak somewhere and by minor I mean I haven't topped it off in over 3 months. The radiator and the water pump/thermostat and thermostat housing were also replaced within the last year along with other minor components I cannot recall at this time.
