Vehicle Detail

1939 Packard 110 Touring Sedan All Original Car With 21,000 Miles! Just Out Of Storage Since 1970 Brake And Fuel Systems Cleaned And Repaired As Needed Runs Great, Amazing Original Condition Survivor RUST-FREE-GARAGE-KEPT CAR IN UNBELIEVABLE ORIGINAL CONDITION LOCATED IN BENSALEM, PA, 70 MILES EAST OF HERSHEY, CLOSE TO THE PA TURNPIKE Stop by and take a look on your way to or from Hershey \ A few years ago, this car might have been purchased by a street-rodder, or used as a parts car to restore a more expensive Packard, like a 110 Convertible for example. In the past few years, savvy collectors have developed a greater appreciation for solid, original, survivor type cars. This Packard is an excellent example. Originally purchased by a doctor in West Chester, Pa, this particular Packard was used sparingly as an economical "house call" car. At least an entire generation living today has never even heard of a "house call" from a doctor. When the doctor retired, the car was sold to his mechanic, who owned the car until a few months ago. So this is a true two owner car from new. Packard's economical six cylinder engine powers this Packard, and it hums like a sewing machine. The engine, transmission, and rear function as you would expect a super low mileage Packard to perform. There is a slight coolant leak coming from the radiator, and an NOS (Brand New Old Stock) radiator is included with the car. There are many photos below. The interior is completely original, and except for a small hole in the headliner, it is in excellent condition. The car had dealer installed seat covers installed and they were removed to expose this lovely striped broadcloth interior. Even though the doctor wanted an economical car, Packard offered prestige and reliability that was hard to beat. For a 110, this car is highly optioned with a deluxe Packard radio and Packard heater, and the clock as shown. There is some very minor damage to the fenders from the previous owner moving the car in and out of his garage. I would like to stress that the car is completely free of any rust. With a minimum of effort, this car can be an excellent tour car. Here's a great entry level pre-war Packard that should appeal to any collector looking for an interesting car for a modest investment. No Damage Or Tears To The Rubber Flooring Material In The Front Running Board Covers Are Also Excellent Super Solid, Rust-Free, Damage-Free Grille and Shell Original Packard Jack All Original Wiring, No patches, Splices, Or Repairs. Not Brittle, Cracked Or Frayed. Factory paint and pin striping still present on all five wheels Sealed Beams With Correct Lenses And Reflectors Still Present Lots Of Literature Included With The Car. On Sep-26-10 at 19:39:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note that the photo of the driver's side rear door panel is not displaying due to a slight html error. I spotted it as soon as I listed it, but someone bid on the car almost immediately and ebay does not let you edit the vehicle's description once a bid has been made. All 4 door panels are in excellent condition, the photo can be emailed to you if you are interested in the car and want to see that missing photo. You can email me at rachlin@comcast.net for the photo.
