Vehicle Detail
If you’ve been looking for a 67-72 style short bed Chevy truck here’s an opportunity to get a rare one. Here for auction is a 1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne ½ ton 2wd short bed pickup truck that is highly optioned and in the more desirable medium blue and white two tone combo. This truck is loaded and has the following factory options: - full Cheyenne trim package - 350 engine / TH 350 trans - air conditioning - tachometer - dash gauge package - tilt wheel - power disc brakes - power steering - AM/FM push button radio This truck has only slight modifications that are all “bolt on” and can be removed if desired: - lowered correctly with dropped spindles and springs (great ride still) - 80s Silverado rally wheels all around with spinners - white tonneau cover (no holes made to bed – all clamped) - custom bent dual exhaust - manifolds were ceramic coated grey - JetHot - rare Z28 Camaro “rope” style steering wheel I consider this vehicle an above average super clean driver. It wouldn’t take much to make it a show vehicle if that’s what you’re in to. The engine bay and interior are highly detailed. The bed is clean and painted nice not beat at all. Everything on this trucks works as it should and there are no problems. The worst part about the vehicle is the aging paint. It has cracks and rock chips as a driven vehicle would. This truck spent most of its life in Tennessee and has super clean metal. The undercarriage is clean and there are no leaks. There are tons of new parts installed in the last year or so. The winter before last I pulled the engine and transmission to detail them. Neither of them needed rebuilding, I just wanted to detail the crap out of them and replaced every possible thing in the process. We can chat for more details on that. Some very rare factory markings still exist. You’ll notice in the photos; original chalk marks on top of firewall, manufacture sticker on driver’s door, weight rating plate on door jamb, and service parts id on back of glove box door. Feel free to contact me to view truck in person. You can check out anything you want, I have nothing to hide. I’ve owned the truck for 11 years and have driven it all over the place, in most cases for several hours straight and never a problem. You can drive it anywhere but I don’t recommend rock crawling! email with any questions: customs@optonline.net On Sep-29-10 at 20:26:14 PDT, seller added the following information: There have been several of the same questions asked that I will just add here to the listing: - The truck recently passed the NJ State Vehicle Inspection with no questions asked. For years I would take it to a private inspection center but come to find out it'll cruise right through a State Facility with zero problems. - I've spent a little time getting the wheel and stance just right. It's perfect and has just the right amount of rake. The tires NEVER rub. The truck NEVER bottoms out. The custom exhaust NEVER touches anything. I have driven lowered vehicles most of my life though and there are of course certain precautions you would obviously take with any specialty vehicle. I have hauled stuff wrapped in blankets in the back but never anything heavy. For those unaware, these model trucks have coil sprung rears with long trailing arms. I have gas shocks all around and this is a very smooth riding truck. On Oct-02-10 at 10:25:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Rear differential cover has 12 bolts and believe gears to be 3:73
