Some extra parts also, including a used cylinder head that was pressure tested and passed. 1986 524td – Pictured, running car with many new parts. It’s been considerably rebuilt, but rarely driven. Most receipts for labor and parts are available. 1985 524td –parts car, free with purchase of 1986 car I purchased these cars in late 2007, and they’ve been stored in a garage since. Most repairs are 2008-09 1986: -New parts in 2008. All parts are BMW factory parts: factory cylinder head, all injectors, all glow plugs, camshaft/gears, new radiator and exhaust from the manifold back. Timing belt, water pump. Leaking fuel lines have been replaced, it does not leak or smell like fuel. Receipts are available in PDF via email. Plenty of acceleration, handles great and fun to drive. New battery in 2009 -Problems: The engine has a coolant leak that I’ve been unable to solve with my mechanic. It runs well otherwise. It has typical BMW 5-Series electrical annoyances. Windows may or may not work, door locks work, seat motors may or may not work. Cruise control works, A/C turns on, doesn’t cool much, but does clear the windows. The black cloth interior isn't great, dash is cracked. This car spent most of it’s time in Florida, so there little rust. Title says “Exceeds Mechanical Limits”. The odometer had stopped working at 145k due to a stripped gear, common to 5-series BMWs. I repaired the odometer and estimate the car at 150k. 1985 524td –parts car, free with purchase of 1986 car. Title must be transferred and car removed. -276K, white, rusty with a nicer blue interior. Dash is nice, sport steering wheel. Engine is in parts. Salvage title.
