Vehicle Detail
Hello to all, I have decided to relist my 1982 Fiat Spider Turbo. The car was sold during the last auction but the buyer(s) had an unfortunate personal problem arise so I let them back out. I did keep the deposit so I will now have a buy it it now option that is 500 less than the car sold for. For those of you who may not know, the Spider Turbo was built June 1981and November of 1982 and only for the US market. The 82 model is the rarest at about 240 built. Many Turbo Spiders have had their turbo's removed which makes them like the non turbo model. I have owned many spiders and none perform like this model. If you have been looking for a beautiful Spider you know how difficult one is to find.....This car is VERY, VERY NICE and very rare car. Please carefully read this description before bidding. I have owned this car for about 6 years. I will describe this car accurately. I am an honest seller and believe in full disclosure. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as this car is currently being offered locally and on many national web sites. If you have an interest in this vehicle please email me or feel free to call me @ 208-290-7427 and ask questions. DO NOT BID IF YOU DON'T PLAN TO PAY. BIDDING ON EBAY IS A CONTRACT. Thanks for looking. CONDITION: This car is in hard to believe Original condition. The paint is #474 Azzyre blue Metallic with silver vinyl graphics, the interior is #505 Fawn in vinyl, The top is Fawn and original, The carpets are in Fawn as well. Show scores: This car wins shows. It scores as a #1 or #2 condition at all times. Wins 1st, 2nd or best original, best of show. Paint: Looks like new and is exceptional as well as the graphics. Body: The body has been in no accidents, has no rust and looks excellent. all body parts and locks work as new. Remember this car is 28 years old. It does have a few very small "dings". It also has a small dent in the front right leading edge of the hood. I have had quotes to have these dents removed without disturbing the original paint with "paintless dent repair", these quotes are about $500.00 Interior: The interior is perfect, no dash cracks, no wear of seats or carpets, mats, the steering wheel is leather bound and was dyed black at the factory...it has some light fading. Top: The top is the original top and see the pictures. It is perfect as well for it's age.... Trunk: The trunk is like new. I have inspected the spare & jack....perfect unused condition. Engine Bay: The engine and bay are as close to new as any car. (see photos)....all original labels are present.. Underside: The underside is very nice and still shows the original stamps on the diff. cover and A-arms/shock mounts....... Mechanicals: This car is serviced each year, Mobile-1 engine oil, all lubricants have been changed as well as antifreeze....the car starts, drives like new...the turbo comes on strong and the car is quiet and accelerates like no other Spider.... Glass: Perfect except windshield. The windshield has a crack on the passenger side. I had it drilled to stop the crack 5 years ago. I did this because the windshield still has the original "Legend Turbo/California Smog" cert sticker from the factory. I feel the sticker is more valuable than replacing the glass. Documentation: I have every document that was ever generated for this vehicle. I have owned over 40 collector cars and never seen a document set like this: 1. "Vehicle buyers order" from Metro Imports Seattle,Wa.. 2. "factory window sticker". 3. "Dealer Certification".4."Pre delivery check list" from dealer. 5. "Port installed work order for accessories". 6. "Odometer mileage statement". 7.Original Bank loan application and related documenmts. 8. Original "Registration Certificate". 9. Fiat Maintenance schedule. 10. Owners manual. 11.Spider Turbo supplement. 12.Owners warranty and service book. 13. Service locator book. 14. Convertible top maintenance manual. 15. Every service receipt. 16. Every parts receipt. 17. Original dealer brochures. 18. Hand written note books showing documenting every mile driven, fuel mileage, service, repairs and destinations driven.......... Dealer Installed Options: The owner had the dealer install the following: wheel trim moldings, door edge moldings, stainless mud flaps.Rare Fiat "Co Co Mats" Other Options: The buyer had a Blaupankt stero installed by a stereo store as well as an electric ant. Ansza exhaust. Repairs to date: New brakes, rotors and pads, timming belt at 20K, Turbo boost controls. Misc. tune up items. Original sales price of this car: This car waas ordered on June 17th 1983....it is a 1982 model. It cost with options $15,572.00 plus sales tax.
