I am an avid PCA member and have owned 2 944 Turbo race cars and 4 street/DE 944 Turbo and this is the nicest street/DE one that I have owned. I bought the car from a PCA local member three years ago with the intent of driving it to a track that was to be built in the area and to use the Turbo for open track days. Unfortunately that never happened because the track construction is in limbo and it may now never happen. So, my plan now is to sell the can and only use a full track prepared car for DE events at Mid Ohio and Putanm etc. I have put less than 400 miles on the car . I had a PPI performed before I bought it and the compression and leak down tests were good and consistent with the former owners statement that the person he bought it from in 2004, another PCA member, had the engine rebuilt with new rods, rings, bearings, ARP head studs and head work. The rebuild was at about 75,000 miles. The car has a roll bar, harnesses, 3 qt Accusump oil system, Sparco seats, Koni Adjustable shocks, B&B Triflow exhaust, and a MoMo steering wheel. The original black leather seats are in excellent condition. The stock wheels go with the car. It has OEM 993 Porsche 17" wheels, 7 and 9" with low mile Michelin Pilot SX tires, 255/40 ZR and 205/50 SR by 17" tires. The body is in excellent condition. An after market carbon fiber splitter is installed as the original splitter and the front bumber cover were damaged by a prior owner. The AC components are in place but there is no cold air. The dash has a couple of very small cracks above the instrument cluster and are barely noticeable. The OEM radio works but the sound in the speakers in the drivers door come and go. Power windows and trunk work as do all of the gauges. A very nice car for the asking price and one that could serve the purpose of a nice street car that you can drive to the track for DE events. These cars handle extremely well and being the last 944 Turbo model it has the brakes and power to enable you to keep up on the track with much newer cars.
