No Reserve! Straight body, solid California survivor.This chrome bumper MGB has overdrive transmission, chrome wire wheels and aluminium hood. The previous original owner had replaced the hood with a factory aluminium hood back in the seventies. It has been repainted in the seventies, in the original color. He drove the car and put it up for storage in a covered garage in the eighties till I bought it. I've invested a lot of time and money refurbishing the car mechanically, and it runs strong, with excellent oil pressure. I've included a picture of the gages with the car running to show the oil pressure.All gages work. All lights work, though couple of side marker lamps have burnt out and need to be replaced.Turn signal work.The body is straight with no accident damage that I can see..The paint is very presentable. I dont see any rust on the car, other than some surface rust in the trunk as seen in the pictures. It has not gone through the metal, and can be wirebrushed out. I've not detailed the car. A good polish and detail will really bring out the shine I bought this car from the original owner. He told me the mileage is correct. I can't say for sure if its correct.However, based on the condition of the interior and even panel gaps, I would say its possible .Other than the carpet which was replaced, the rest of the interior looks original. the dash has no cracks. The seats and panels have no rips, however, the passenger side headrest has a rip in the back as shown in the picture. The drivers side headrest has been replaced. You can buy replacement headrest from Moss Motors. The following are the things I've done to the car over a 5 year period. I have receipts for the work done: Replaced brake master cylinder, wheel cylinder, brake hoses,front brake pads, rear brake shoes. Replaced clutch, clutch master cylinder,clutch slave cylinder Carburators completly rebuilt, with new jets,needle,floats,throttle shafts and plates, gaskets. Also, new throttle shaft bushings installed and reamed. Radiator rodded, cleaned and extra row added to increase capscity. Gas tank cleaned and sealed. New electronic SU fuel pump. Much more reliable than the type. Electronic ignition Replaced rear main seal, valve cover seal, oil pan seal,engine side cover seal. New tires, however they are 5 years old, though they have hardly any mileage on them. New top. The NOS top came with the car uninstalled when I purchased it. replaced motor mounts Replaced exhaust manifold gasket. The air pump (smog device) is not installed, but included with the car\ Valve adjustment and tune up. The new owner needs to drive the car and sort it out. I've not driven the car very much.As with any old car that is refurbished or restored, it neeeds to be driven and any issues that may arise be sorted out.With a nice polish and detail, the car can be used as is (after sorting it out) or if you want to go further and do a concours restoration, this is a good candidate, since the body straight. Someday, I'll kick myself for selling this car after doing so much to it. BEFORE BIDDING, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A USED CAR. AS WITH ANY USED CAR, IT IS NOT PERFECT, AND THEREFORE UNPREDICTABLE. THINGS CAN GO WRONG AT ANYTIME. I'VE DESCRIBED IT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. CAR IS SOLD AS IS.
