There is a ton of documentation that comes with the car including several copies of old titles and tracking of the owner history. Completely Restored Suspension and Undercarriage with Koni Classic Shock Absorbers RPO Z283 included these early style headers shipped in the trunk. Kevin A. Ellis of Creve Couer. Illinois located the car in Wisconsin in 1991. He brought the car home and had this Incredibly Rare Z/28 professionally restored by Top Line Auto Body in Creve Couer, Illinois. This was not an amateur garage style restoration. All of the receipts and hours are documented. The restoration was photo documented. Details of the paperwork and photos can be seen in the attached photobucket link. Kevin sourced parts for the restoration from many different places but all of the Sheet Metal used on the project came from Bob Grimm Chevrolet. It was all NOS. You could still find these pieces at your local Chevrolet dealer in the 1990s. Mechanically, Kevin completely rebuilt the entire drive-train, suspension, electrical, interior, etc. There are receipts documenting all of this and he was rewarded with Silver at the Camaro Nationals in 1993. The Z/28 changed hands in the late 1990s and was then purchased by Brett Radanof from Dana Mecum in 2001. Brett Radanof from Roseville, California owns and operates a business called T/A Performance Restorations. He specializes in GM Cross-ram installations and tuning. Also some incredibly rare parts. Brett decided to take the Z/28 up a notch and the only thing that would do would be a rare original GM Cross-Ram Intake. This necessitated pulling the heads for upgraded valve springs, some porting and a Crane 140 GM Grind Off-Road Camshaft. Brett also added other period correct parts including: A complete 1969 Transistorized Ignition, Factory Headers, Stainless Steel Chambered Exhaust System, Traco Remote Oil Filter and Custom Oil Cooler. Once again, all of these parts were professionally installed. This time Brett chose Performance Dynamics in Sacramento, California to perform all of the installation work. Everything is beautifully done and as Brett told me headers, the correct curve on the distributor, the right set-up on the carburetors and a 4.10 gear makes for an awesome driving Cross Ram Z/28. Again, all of the receipts for all of the parts and installation will be provided to the winning bidder. Brett was rewarded with a Feature Article in the Fall 2002 Issue of Camaro Performers Magazine and the car was used in an online Canadian Magazine citing the End of an Era. In 2004, Brett sold what he called "One of his favorite cars, ever!" to Fred Timberlake of Lubbock, Texas. Fred continued the tradition of continued improvement on the Z/28. After purchasing the car, Brett made an extremely rare part available to Fred. An Original GM Cross Ram Cowl-Induction Air Cleaner Assembly. This particular air cleaner had come to Brett through Jere Stahl of Stahl Headers, Inc. There is a letter from Jere stating that he received all of the parts that he sold Brett (including the air cleaner) from Mark Donohue sometime in the Winter of 1969-1970. The Rare GM Cross Ram Cowl Induction Air Cleaner can be seen in Jerry MacNeish's Book on page 94 Fred also had the Jerry MacNeish 1967 Registry information changed from Brett's name Fred added several other upgrades to the Z/28 to make it more drivable. He had the Original DF 15x6 Wheels blasted and powder coated and a new set of Coker Redline Radials added in lieu of the 7.75 x 15 reproductions. Fred had the original headers refinished by Jet Hot and re-installed. He added a set of Koni Classic Shock Absorbers in keeping with the vibe. He purchased and had restored a set of Stewart Warner Gauges and Tachometer. All of these items and several regular maintenance issues were performed by South Plains Show Cars in Lubbock, Texas. All of the receipts for the parts and work that Fred had performed will be included. Today, the car resides at my place in Columbia City , Indiana. I am a retired collector of Chevrolets and Pontiacs. Original Parts All of the parts including the Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifolds, Carburetor, Distributor, etc. that were taken off of the car will come with it. This car was loved and all of the parts including clips, fuel blocks, line, etc. were carefully bagged and boxed and remain with the car. As most of you know, these parts are quite rare and therefore valuable. I think that it's important that they stay with the Z/28. There is so much to say about this Z/28, I don't know where to stop. It runs and drives great. It was beautifully restored and the body lines are beautiful. The doors, trunk and hood close like a new car. I have all of the receipts and title copies for the car. I have taken over 300 pictures of this Z/28 and its paperwork. I will attach a link to view the photos. My name is Ed and I can be reached at (847) 809-8022 if you have any questions. If you would like to see the car in person, simply give me a call. If you would like to make a Serious Offer, I am willing to add a Buy It Now Price. This Z/28 is 43 Years Old. Therefore, it is being Sold As Is/Where Is and No Warranties are being expressed or implied.
