This is a solid '55 Factory V8 210 car that will be a good solid foundation for whatever direction you want to take this project. A lot of the work has been done already. BODY: The body is very solid. The normal rust repairs have been done including a set of floor pans, lower patch panels on the front fenders, a new passenger side quarter panel, and a new tail pan, but the car is in excellent condition and didn't really need much more. The inner and outer fenders, the door jambs, the inner and outer rockers, the floor pan braces, the trunk pan, the weather strip lips, the drip rail, around the front and rear windshield areas, the cowl panel, the roof and the front A pillars are all in excellent condition and very solid. The firewall is super solid and doesn't have any cutting or damage. The original doors are solid inside and out. The trunk and hood are in good condition but do need a little work. INTERIOR: The original dash is rust free and undamaged, with the exception of the radio opening being modified. I do have a set of original and rebuildable front and rear seat frames and springs that are not pictured but are included with this auction. I do have an original set of windshield trim, sidewindow trim and quarter glass trim. All of the factory headliner bows are in place. The original door lock mechanisms and window regulators are still intact and in place. FRAME: The body was removed from the frame. The frame was sandblasted and painted with chassis black paint. The rear springs have been moved inside the frame rails to make room for bigger tires, but with the exception of that modification, the frame is undamaged, straight and rust free. The body was then set back on the frame and mounted using all new body bushings and hardware. All of the factory front suspension is in place and the car rolls and steers easily. The car still retains factory drum brakes on all four corners. WHEELS: The car comes with a nice set of Corvette Rallies (as pictured). The original VIN tag is in place but the original cowl trim tag is missing. The car will come with a state issued VIN inspection.
