My husband purchased the Buick from a dealership in Ft. Myers, FL about 8 years ago, with the intention of completing a full restoration. The motor was completely rebuilt approximately 1500 miles ago. It is equipped with the 8 cylinder, 350 CI 4bbl quadrajet and dual exhaust. The convertible top was replaced with a new stayfast canvas top approximately 5 years ago. We have approximately $11,000 in receipts for work done on this vehicle, but then the children came along, and it was never finished. The Buick does contain the original 8 track, factory a/c, power windows and power locks. The windows, door locks, and top all worked great the last time the car was driven, approx. 6 months ago, but did not work when pulled out of storage last week. The electrical connections tend to corrode with lack of use, and typically they will begin working again after a few days of regular use, as has happened in the past. Although we had the motor rebuilt and the convertible top replaced, the Buick still needs bodywork that we have not had time to complete. There is some body filler cracking, and some body rust, although many professionals in the old car business have stated that this car has very little rust for what it is, and especially important the rust does not compromise the structure of the convertible. Only about 2500 of these were ever made, and this one has every option available on this model. The Buick needs TLC, and regular use. Our loss is your gain, but he's never going to finish it... ***New photos added at the request of several people, including engine compartment, trunk, rocker panels and underneath floorboards. As you can tell in the pics, the floorboards have some el-cheapo repairs from previous owner, and there is some rust. However if you look at the inside of the doors, trunklid, etc. you will see that the rust is not too bad for the age of the car, and especially being a convertible. Also you will notice that white was the original color, allthough the car is wearing a so-so repaint.*** Payments must be paid by a cashier's or certified check.
