Hello everyone...I have up for bid a 1991 Ford Special Service (police) Mustang. It is equipped with the 5.0 HO (302 CID) coupled with the automatic transmission and is extra clean inside and out based on being 19 years old and the low mileage just over 64K. The odometer has not been rolled over or rolled back. Since 1993, this car has been in our family. I purchased it back in 2007 with 54K miles from my older brother (who purchased it back in 1993 with 32K miles). The first individual was a gentleman from Illinois who purchased the Mustang new on a trade-in and drove it as a pleasure vehicle. This SSP Mustang was originally built for the General Services Administration (GSA)-a branch of the US Federal Government with the DSO 17-0400. According to Performance Parts Inc., it was one of six ordered for the GSA, but this particular one never saw any kind of law enforcement whatsoever. Also, there were never any police equipment installed anywhere--meaning no gaping holes or screw holes on the dashboard..not even a spotlight on the pillar or lightbar on the roof. For more information on these police Mustangs, please visit www.sspmustang.org. The interior is like brand new. The carpet, headliner, and the seats are very good condition. No rips or tears and was never smoked in...EVER! The front seats are in great condition. The back seat has virtually never been occupied. Everything works...even the ashtray door. The only interior replacement were the two front dash speakers with Memphis Audio speakers. The full-size spare is original and was never used. The tires only have about 10K miles driven on them. The exterior is also in great condition. All numbers match on all body panels. This light crystal blue metallic clearcoat paint color was extremely rare--12-1990 coupes and 120-1991 coupes were painted this color (for more info see www.allfordmustangs.com and type in total model production numbers in the search window). The paint is all original within the exception of the hood and driver's side front fender. The hood was repainted and the windshield was replaced due to a brief windstorm that blew through while the hood was temporarily unlatched. The fender was repainted only due to a small dent and was all fixed by a very reputable auto body shop here in our area. The decklid spoiler was installed by the first individual owner. The car was never involved in ANY kind of accident....EVER! Just check out all the pictures! As far as performance, it has been mildy modified including Ford Motorsport 3.27:1 gears, Ford Motorsport underdrive pulleys, Hypertech Computer Chip, Dynomax Mufflers, and an H-Pipe (no catalytic converters). The Mustang runs and drives like new. All the gauges work, the transmission was rebuilt 1,000 miles ago ($900.00) due to the throttle linkage out of adjustment. The transmission shifts strong with no problems with a B&M Shift Improver Kit. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my ability and is not all inclusive. The reason I am selling it is because I am wanting to start my own business. So, I need the extra money and I don't want it sitting outside. It is being sold AS-IS where is with no expressed or implied warranty. Keep in mind this SSP Mustang is getting very rare and highly collectible and is 19+ years old. I have the clean Missouri Title in my possession. When a CARFAX is performed, the mileage history wasn't reported much because my brother paid cash for the Mustang back in 1993 and it was stored 99% of its' life in a garage and was rarely licensed. Since then, I have kept it licensed and reported the mileage on every inspection, even though it is exempt. I may drive it from time to time so the mileage may increase slightly above the reading stated above. And, I have also kept it stored in a garage. No winters or salt, or gravel roads.
