1952 CHEVY SEDAN DELIVERY THIS CUSTOMIZED CLASSIC AUTOMOBILE IS GREAT FOR SHOWING OR JUST DRIVING AROUND TOWN. IF YOU OWN A BUSINESS LIKE I DO, THIS CAR IS PERFECT FOR ADVERTISING. THE LARGE-WINDOWLESS SIDES LEAVE PLENTY OF ROOM TO PUT CUSTOM DECALS FOR SHOWING OFF YOUR STORE'S INFORMATION. BELIEVE ME, THIS WILL DRAW A LOT OF ATTENTION AROUND TOWN OR PARKED IN FRONT OF YOUR STORE. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN MANY SHOWS, AND WON SOME PRIZES IN A COUPLE OF SHOWS IN KANSAS. WITH JUST A LITTLE BIT OF LOVE, THIS CAR COULD GO FROM FANTASTIC TO INCREDIBLE!! I AM SELLING THIS CAR BECAUSE I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD GIRL, A 4 YEAR OLD BOY, A FAST GROWING BUSINESS, AND WAY TOO MANY HOBBIES. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO "PLAY" WITH IT ANYMORE, AND AM GETTING SICK OF STORING IT AND PAYING INSURANCE AND LICENSING. CAR DETAILS: 1952 CHEVY SEDAN DELIVERY 350 SMALL BLOCK V-8 *REBUILT JUST BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. ONLY 2200 MILES ON IT. CAMARO FRONT END CAMARO SUB FRAME ONE PIECE OLDSMOBILE WINDSHIELD HIGH ENERGY STARTER LATE 1940'S TAIL-LIGHTS WITH BLUE DOT PAINT LOOKS GREAT FROM 10' *IT'S A GREAT CUSTOM PAINT JOB WITH A PURPLE STRIPE SEPARATING THE SILVER FROM THE MAROON. THERE ARE SOME MINOR CHIPS, DINGS, AND CRACKS, BUT NOTHING THAT REALLY STANDS OUT. INTERIOR IS A GREAT PEARL WHITE LEATHER (OR LEATHER-TYPE MATERIAL: I'M NOT SURE SINCE I DIDN'T PUT IT IN). IT HAS A GREAT TUCK AND ROLL FEATURE ON THE DOORS AND SEATS. *SEE PHOTOS THE WOOD IN THE BACK LOOKS TO BE ALL ORIGINAL AND IN GREAT SHAPE FOR BEING ALMOST 60 YEARS OLD. *SEE PHOTOS POWER STEARING AND BRAKES B&M RACING SLAP SHIFTER 12" BERTINI WOOD RACING STEERING WHEEL. CHEVY LOGO REAR VIEW MIRROR CUSTOM DASH WITH NEW GAUGES (a few still need to be wired in) *I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL GAUGE PANEL, AND WILL THROW THAT IN. NEW BATTERY WHEELS ARE A FEW YEARS OLD, BUT HARDLY USED. I CONSIDER THE ISSUES THIS CAR HAS TO BE MINOR, BUT AM AN HONEST SELLER, SO I WILL DISCLOSE EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR ON EBAY 6 OR 7 YEARS AGO, I WISHED THE OWNER HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THE LITTLE ISSUES...SO HERE THEY ARE. I PUT NEW SHOCKS ON THIS THING 6 YEARS AGO, BUT IT COULD PROBABLY USE NEW SHOCKS OR SPRINGS. IT SQUEAKS A BIT WHEN YOU GO OVER LARGE BUMPS. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE GOES FLAT IF LEFT FOR A COUPLE WEEKS. THE TIRE CHECKS OUT GOOD, AND IS ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD, SO THE RIM MAY HAVE A TINY BEND AND MAY NEED TO BE HAMMERED OUT. THE TIRES STILL HAVE GREAT TREAD. AGAIN, THE PAINT DOES HAVE SOME VERY SMALL CHIPS AND DINGS (THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD A BUSINESS LOGO ON THE SIDE, AND REMOVED IT WITH A RAZOR BLADE). THERE ARE A COUPLE OF CRACKS IN THE PAINT. ONE WHERE THE WINDSHIELD MEETS THE ROOF IN THE CENTER FROM CONVERTING IT FROM A SPLIT WINDSHIELD TO A ONE PIECE WINDSHIELD. THE OTHER IS IN THE REAR. I THINK IT MAY BE AN AREA THAT WAS REPAIRED (MAYBE BONDO: I DON'T KNOW). ALL SPOTS COULD BE TOUCHED UP. EVERY ONCE IN A VERY LONG TIME (I'M STRESSING THAT THIS HAS BEEN A VERY RARE OCCURRENCE), THE IGNITION WON'T EVEN MAKE A CLICK. I'VE HAD THE STARTER CHECKED, AND IT TESTS PERFECT. THE BATTERY IS ALSO NEW AND SHOWS A FULL CHARGE. THE IGNITION IS VERY OLD AND PRETTY CHEWED UP, SO THE PEOPLE I'VE HAD LOOK AT IT THINK IT COULD JUST NEED A NEW IGNITION SWITCH AT SOME POINT. EVERY TIME IT WON'T START, I WAIT A LITTLE WHILE AND IT FIRES RIGHT UP THE NEXT TIME. BECAUSE OF THE CUSTOM DASH, THE HEATER WAS REMOVED. THE TUBES AND CONTROLS ARE STILL INTACT, AND A SMALL HEATER COULD EASILY BE INSTALLED UNDER THE DASH. I NEVER DROVE THIS IN THE WINTER, SO I NEVER HAD ONE PUT IN. FINALLY, THERE ARE NO SEAT BELTS. I WAS TOLD WHEN I BOUGHT IT THAT BECAUSE OF ITS AGE, IT IS GRANDFATHERED IN ON THE SEAT BELT LAW. IT DIDN'T HAVE THEM OR NEED THEM WHEN IT WAS MADE, SO IT DOESN'T NEED THEM NOW. I COULD BE GULLIBLE SINCE I DON'T WORK ON CARS, BUT IT SOUNDS LEGIT. I DID BY A COUPLE OF LAP BELTS THAT I WOULD THROW IN, BUT NEVER HAD THE TIME OR KNOWLEDGE TO INSTALL THEM. THE PICTURES I ADDED OF THE UNDERSIDE ARE A BIT RANDOM. SINCE I DON'T HAVE A LIFT OR JACK, I HAD A HARD TIME GETTING PICTURES OF THE UNDERSIDE. I TOOK ABOUT 20 PICTURES UNDER THERE, BUT MOST TURNED OUT TOO DARK OR TOO BLURRY. FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, THE FRAME LOOKS GOOD, THERE IS VERY LITTLE RUST, AND VERY LITTLE OIL. 3. I did not take the "buy it now" price off my auction. This means that when you see that an item has both a Buy It Now price and one or more bids, you’ll need to act quickly.") The buy it now price on this auction was removed by EBAY per their auction rules at about 2:00PM on September 27th when my auction hit my reserve price of $4000. On Sep-29-10 at 12:20:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Good news: I've had a couple of people come check out the car now, and I've learned a few things. *both people were very impressed when they saw it and heard it run. *the original heater is still under the dash, so one wouldn't have to be installed. The controls for it are tucked up under the custom dash. I don't know if it works and would guess it probably needs some work, but a heater that needs work must be better than no heater at all like I had listed in the original description. *there are disc brakes on the front, and drums on the back. *a lot of the chrome plating on the trim pieces around the doors and fenders are pretty worn. If someone was so inclined, they are just the cheap plastic style that you can buy in bulk and install on your own. Otherwise, I think they still look fine.
