My pops was trying to sell this car (and some others) before he took ill. It is an original 1938 Pontiac. There is no body damage/dents or evidence of any crashes. The car steers and rolls. I was surprised to see it has independent front suspension. Engine can be turned with a wrench. All parts seem to be there with the exception of upper hood pieces, passenger side hood side panel and, one head light bucket. Even the head light glass is still there. All window glass is present and can be used as patterns as it is all flat glass. The doors close solidly and still latch. Door seals are all still in place. I found a new roll of the leather fender seams inside the car. The remaining head light bucket can be repaired or used for repro pattern. The only body "rust through" is on the lower edge of the trunk lid. About 50% of the original paint remains. The rest of the car has surface rust only. The seats have been removed and, upholstery removed. I believe it (seat fabric, or what is left of it) is intended for someone else. The oak wood behind the rear seat area is in excellent condition as seen in the pictures. The seat springs are still wrapped in burlap and about 60% of the original paint is still on them. The cotton padding is still present. The car is VERY dirty as it has been in storage for years. All in all an excellent, very solid candidate for complete restoration or, dare I say, updated resto rod. Make no mistake, this car needs full restoration but, it is an excellent starter piece. I believe the pictures represent the car well. I am selling with a low "Buy it now" price as he needs the money for other things now... Figure your freight from 27605. Bill of sale only.
