1953 Triumph Thunderbird

Presented for auction is a near mint restored 1953 Triumph Thunderbird (dubbed "Black Bird") by the Triumph enthusiast's (and dealers) that wanted a shiny black big inch Triumph. This bike has been in my collection a number of years and is being marketed to reduce my collection size and allow me to focus on pre-war Triumphs. Although this bike was restored over 7 years ago, it still presents itself very well and will hold it's own at any show. It is a numbers match bike and is not a repainted blue one (I've personally talked to the original purchaser and he confirmed it was black when purchased off the dealers floor). It is an easy starter, does not smoke, shifts, and runs well. I had a professional spend time with the SUcarb (notorious for being difficult) and he was able to correct the carbs problems. The odometer shows 4262, they may/may not be correct - I cannot verify the accuracy. I would categorize this particular bike (considering its condition and rarity) investment quality.
