Up on the block today is a nice 1991 Chevrolet Corvette, mechanic’s special. I am selling this for my friend Tony as he is as familiar with listing on Ebay as he is about Rocket science. As mentioned this is a 1991 Chevrolet Corvette, equipped with its stock 350V8, and automatic transmission. It has leather seats, power windows, locks, etc, all the typical equipment for this vintage Vette. It does have the removable targa type top. The body and interior are in decent condition. The reason he is selling it is because he is frustrated with a problem his mechanic cannot find. When he initially brought the car to his mechanic he was able to drive it to him. It would drive and drive out pretty well for a distance of maybe 5 miles and then bog down and barely run or die. After cooling off it would run out again. The mechanic first thought it had something to do with the fuel pressure regulator and did something with that. After no change he decided it was the catalytic converters and had them changed. At this point the car does still run and drive although it cannot be driven really any distance at all. It cranks right up and you can rev the engine and the engine sounds good, but if you attempt to drive it around it just does not have any power. Tony told me that when he was able to drive it the car drove out well and was very solid on the road. The air-conditioning was not working but all the gauges seem to be working properly. So because of my friends’ frustration and “great mechanic” you now have the opportunity to own this baby cheap! I do believe if you are or have a qualified mechanic this should not be a big problem to fix.
