This vehicle has a 'known' history since about 1999 (when my mother purchased it from the car dealership where I was working at the time) and was running very well up until a couple of years ago. It is in very solid/nice physical condition (see all the detailed photos) but does have some mechanical issues that have taken it off the road. My mom originally parked it to replace the exhaust and do 2 of the brake calipers in 2008 but ran into health issues and delayed repair long enough allow other issues to creep up and to make it more cost-effective for her to sell-for-parts than fix currently. The interior is excellent/clean and VERY nice [only drivers seat has a bit of wear on leather] and the exterior & frame is straight on both sides with minor damage to the 2 little plastic bumper ends on the front bumper as I recall. Other than that, it is a fantastic rolling chassis or parts vehicle that can easily be made to a daily driver again by someone who has access to cheap Toyota parts. I'll do my best to give a completely accurate description below of the good and bad: Bad ->Needs brake calipers and or rotors at all 4 corners [as mentioned above] ->Needs fuel pump [would also recommend fuel lines] ->Needs to have timing belt replace [engine ran & turned freely when parked...NO valve or engine damage but it's at the right mileage to be done and MUST be done] ->Needs tires at all 4 corners [due to dry rot from sitting for a couple of years] ->Needs complete Cat-back exhaust [may or may not need catalytic converter to pass emissions] MAY NEED other miscellaneous/minor parts [hoses/belts/spark plugs/etc] but above are the big things that I'm aware of Good ->VERY nice interior [no cracking/degradation/damage] - my mom took fantastic care of leather surfaces with saddle soap & conditioners and all plastic trim pieces are excellent cond. ->VERY straight chassis [has class III tow hitch with electric surge brake box b/c my mom would RARELY tow a small 2 horse trailer] - FRAME IS STRAIGHT AND SOLID ->The entire BODY is EXCELLENT - only minor exception being a spot of rust/rot at the top edge of the windshield frame towards drivers side of the vehicle [see pics] ->Has all 5 correct/original aluminum rims [including the underbody spare wheel] and virtually all trim is in excellent condition ->Mechanically, this vehicle needs several items but is fundamentally EXTREMELY SOLID - with a few select parts & TLC it will run fantastically for the new owner I'm a bit depressed to have to sell this as I was hoping to take it over from her [I am VERY mechanical and would like to fix] but it is currently stored at a local garage and I live several states away don't have the time/ability to travel to work on it. So, reluctantly I post this hoping that someone will purchase this vehicle to repair and drive rather than to parts out**** Regardless of why you are purchasing, you will get a heck of a deal. NO RESERVE, starting at $400. Vehicle is located in Chepatchet, RI and must be hauled away as it does not run currently. AGAIN - VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN CHEPATCHET, Rhode Island - VEHICLE MUST BE HAULED AWAY B/C IT DOES NOT CURRENTLY RUN - NO RESERVE Now for the 'other' stuff: This vehicle is sold as-is-as-seen for parts/repair ONLY. It is a clear-titled but non-running vehicle. It is sold for no-reserve but payment is to be made within 7 days of auction close. Payment is to be cash or bank check only - bank check is preferred for you protection and ours and must be drawn on a national bank if you are out-of-area (i.e. not from RI/MASS/CONN vicinity), again for our safety in terms of payment.
