1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable Hardtop Convertible. This is a very restorable original car, needing lots of work, but much has already been done. The quarter panels have already been completed, the driver’s side floor board has already been completed, but the passenger floor still needs completed. Some of the metal has already been cut out of the passenger side and the winning bidder will receive the new passenger side floor replacement repair panels included with the car. The frame is solid, as is the trunk. This car has rust and deterioration in all the normal places for this make, model and year of car but is better than one coming from a state where salt is used on the roads. For example, the driver's side front fender and inner fender look great, but the passenger's side needs some work. All of it is repairable with the person with the right skills and with the previously mentioned repairs and work already done. Some of the side chrome is in very good shape and some is not. The bumpers are not very good. The dash had been pulled out of the car and appears to be complete, including the original AM radio. The odometer reads 35,177. I have no idea how correct this is. As you will see in the photos, many original parts are included with the car. Here are some items I know I do not have for this car and they will not be included with the sale: front seat, carpet, hood, front windshield and back window. There may be other items I am not aware of. It needs a complete interior. I purchased this car as you see it, included with other vehicles I purchased at the same time. I do not have the abilities or finances to restore a car as this car deserves. I have not started this restoration and do not have any idea what condition the car, parts or engine is in. The car is already mostly stripped down, saving much work for the person wishing to restore this car. I do not have indoor storage for this vehicle and must sell it before the vehicle deteriorates further.
