Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a nice 1963 Studebaker Lark. This Lark was special ordered with the following options including: 289 V8 engine, Power Disc Brakes, and TT (positrac) rear axle. It was sold new in the Auburn, California area. It never has had any rot issues. It has always been garaged. The original dash, door panels, and rest of the interior is in just simply amazing condition. Very low reserve for this nice-driving unmolested survivor. Everything works on this car - even the factory optional original clock and the radio. The correct Studebaker “P” code full-flow 289 engine runs good, and the car drives nice. Transmission and TT (positrac) rear axle work fine. Tires on it are in good shape. The factory power disc brakes work excellent, and this spring I rebuilt them completely. I had the power booster professionally rebuilt. Radiator was re-cored in the not too distant past. Starter and alternator were professionally rebuilt. This car has always been garaged and it shows: the interior is amazingly nice, the windows don’t rattle, and all plastic on the car was spared the age cracking that one takes as normal on a car of this age. The original dash and door panels are excellent!!! Headliner is nice. Seats are nice. The carpet is still the original, yes, original. Carpet is not perfect but nice for being original carpet. The body on the car is amazingly nice. It’s a California car. It’s never been run in salt and has always been a ‘collector car’ while here in the Midwest. At one point, I had the carpets out and the factory original floors are perfect - they still have factory silver paint on them. Trunk floor is excellent. Rocker panels are perfect, etc. There are a couple tiny pencil-lead sized bubbles in the far lower rear of the front fenders, they are not easily noticeable. They are virgin fenders: no bondo and have never been previously repaired. The car has one very old repaint done on it, circa 1975. The paint looks very nice for cruises or shows, but it is not perfect. There are a few little nicks, dings or imperfections here and there. When the repaint was done, it was just a repaint: there was no body work done. There is no bondo in the car anywhere. I have too many cars and have decided to part with this one. Don’t waste my time with BS, or want the car but can’t follow through. I’ve had enough of lies and BS from potential buyers. If you have any further questions feel free to email. My reserve is set much below what I have into it. Mileage is approximate. Car must be picked up within 35 days of receiving cleared payment. Payment only by cash, money order, or bank cashier’s check. If paying by other then cash, payment must clear before car is released, no exceptions. I am located near 49677 if you care to get shipping quotes. Sold as-is, where-is, no warranties or promises are expressed or implied.
