Vehicle Detail
This is the last year for Studebaker 1966 and was built in Canada using a GM (Chevrolet) 283 cubic inch small block motor coupled to a Borg Warner transmission with a Checker cab bell housing. Studebaker made a great effort to upgrade the appearance of both the exterior and interior sort of a junior grade Mercedes, complete with an S hood crest no three pointed star. This car has only 62000 miles and there is a lube sticker on the door from 1977 when it had 58961 miles so its gone just over 3000 miles in the last 33 years. We have a copy of the production order obtained from the Studebaker Museum, the original owners manual and a showroom literature handout that go with the car. I believe the car to be one owner till about two years ago when it went from Indiana to Florida and then to us in Pennsylvania. The car is nicely equipped it has, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, full wheel covers, back up lights, heater,Vinyl top,and AM radio. The car has the GM made in Canada small block Chevrolet 283 cubic inch engine coupled to a Borg Warner transmission that are running and shifting great. Within the past year the radiator and alternator have been replaced. The interior is in excellent condition, dash no cracks, steering wheel again no cracks,Seats are very Good as are the door panels, the carpets have been removed and will need replacement . We will be replacing the muffler and a rear brake .line before the auction ends to make the car roadable. The vinyl top is like new no cracks or peeling. The car has some rust issues the floor needs some patching nothing real bad just some holes, the trunk has two small patches already done and is otherwise solid, the front fenders have been redone at the rear and will need attention to be nice. The car has a cheap repaint done long ago its a good fifty footer. The shocks need replacement otherwise mechanically it seems fine. Please look at the pictures we are happy to answer questions and invite your on site inspection. We are dealers at this location for 26 years and are currently featured in the October issue Of "Cars And Parts" magazine. We will assist any carrier you send in loading the car and will deliver to any terminal within a 50 mile radius free of charge. The car is sold as is with all faults known and unknown.
