Up for auction is a 1971 CL450.This bike has been repainted so it is not original paint.The paint looks pretty good and is quite close to the original color.This bike runs quite well and the motor sounds solid and you have got to like electric start I have only ridden the bike around my neighborhood and it goes straight down the road and goes through all of the gears well.The carbs have been cleaned.no other maintenance service items have been done.I recieved this bike and did some detail work added a new battery and got it running.the bike will need the carbs adjusted[sinc] the brakes will most likely need to have the pivot points cleaned and greased as the rear foot lever does not return as well as it should but all of the pads are good.The tires have good tread but they are quite old and are weather checked the fork seals will need to be replaced as they leak which I noticed when I put the fork boots on it,which by the way are the wrong boots the correct ones are readily available on e-bay for cheap. these are just ones I had around the house all of the other components on this bike appear to be the original partsThe seat has been sewed up I guess you could call it but new covers are available.The odometer shows just shy of 3000 miles which by the overall condition of the bike could be accurate but I can not verify this.The tank is clean inside a rarity for these old hondas only the low beam works on the headlight but all of the other signal lights work well. The chrome on the fenders is presentable there are scratches and scuffs but The high pipes look good just a couple of small dents in the heat shield.I have taken this bike this far as I care too as I have many other projects that need my attention. so the rest of the job goes to the new owner.this bike is in good condition for a 40 year old machine.Feel free to ask any questions you need to and I will answer them honestly and to the best of my ability.buyer will be responsable for the shipping arrangements and costs Thank you for looking Jim
