This car is a 1978 Cadillac DeVille "Phaeton" model. From what I understand the Phaeton was a limited edition model that has some nice features including the carriage roof, climate control and power trunk. It was owned by my grandfather who drove it very gently for many years. The car has never been involved in an accident. While my grandfather was alive he took very good care of the car. He had the bumpers re-chromed at some point and also had the carriage roof replaced once. The motor was replaced about 15 years ago. Since then it has only been used by my grandmother to get back and forth to the store but unfortunately it has not been as well cared for. For the last year or so it has not been driven so the inspection has expired (Jan 2010) and the battery had to be replaced. The power antenna has been damaged and the hood ornament (included) is not attached. It has always been garage kept but has minor dings from the supermarket parking lot and the interior could use a good cleaning. The interior does not have any tears or burn holes but my grandfather was a cigar smoker. All maintenance was done by Midas throughout the life of the car. The car was dirty when it was photographed but we tried our best to show all of the rough spots. I'm happy to answer questions via e-mail.
