Vehicle Detail

1952 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This truck is a true survivor and a Barn find. It was in Purchased new, in Clay Center, Kansas and has probably never been more than about 50 miles from there. The Truck was used as a Plumbing Contractor's Vehicle in the 1950s and was retired and later stored for years. This is the kind of Vintage Truck everyone is looking for. It is in good condition, not hacked up, not customized. It is basically stock and in near original condition. It Starts, Runs and Drives well. I have a clean Kansas Title for this truck. I have the Original Key and the Key Chain from the Dealer. The Odometer shows just over 35,000 miles and the Title reflects this number. I believe this truck actually has about 35000 miles on it. This truck has an overhead valve 6 Cylinder "Cost Clipper" Engine and 3 Speed Manual Transmission, on the column. I believe this is a 5 Star Cab. The Cab has the Stainless Steel trim around the Windshield, 2 Horns, 2 Wipers, 2 Sun Visors, Under Dash Control Panel and had Door Panels and Arm Rests on the Doors. The Arm Rests are missing. The Body of the truck is very solid. The cab corners are solid. I took good pictures of the cab corners to show their condition. The Cab is solid and rust free. The Doors are solid and rust free. The Hood has a small rust spot on it. The Front Fenders have rust above the seams. The Lower Fenders have some minor rust. The Bed is Solid and rust free. The Rear Fenders have some minor rust. The Tail Gate is pretty solid. Both Running Boards have minor rust. There are some dents and dings on the Truck. The Bed appears to still has the original wood in it. There is a sheet of metal, in the bed, covering the wood. The Frame is solid. The front Bumper is in good, not mint condition. The Rear Bumper is not original, but is in good condition. The truck has a Spare Tire carrier on the Left side of the Bed. This really looks good on the Truck. The Truck has 4 15" Wheels and Radial Tires and 5 Stock 16" Rims with Bias Ply Tires and stock Hub Caps. The interior is pretty good. The Seat looks nice and the Dash looks nice. The Gauges look good and I think they all work. The Lights work. The Steering Wheel looks good. The metal is very nice and solid. The Headliner is missing. The Windshield is cracked. The Back Window is cracked. The Driver's Door Window is broken. The Passenger's Door Window is broken, but all of the Glass is still in the Truck. Most of the Stainless Trim, on the Hood is present and pretty nice. The Large Badges are missing, but these can be ordered from an aftermarket company. This truck has a great Patina and some original Advertising Lettering on both Doors and would look great driving down the road. This truck has a 6 volt battery and still has the complete 6 volt system. The Engine starts easily and runs very well. The Engine looks very stock and appears to be original. It even still has the original Oil Bath Air Cleaner. It still has the Glass Fuel Bowls on the Fuel Pump and Carburetor. It still has the "Cost Clipper 6" decal on the Valve Cover. The Transmission appears to be in good condition. It shifts through the gears and doesn't make any odd sounds. The Brakes work well. The Emergency Brake works. The Lights work. The Truck can be driven. I have not driven it any long distances, but it is road worthy and could be driven almost anywhere. This is a very nice old truck. It is solid enough to deserve a restoration, but could be made into a nice Rat Rod, Street Rod, Hot Rod, or just driven, as is. If you do not want to drive this truck a long distance, I may be able to assist with delivery, for a charge. I tried to give a good detailed description and post good pictures, but will be happy to answer any questions through email. This truck sells to the highest bidder without reserve.
